 Job Overview

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist, Business Partner Support supports the Human Resources team in a dynamic, global organization experiencing high growth.  This individual will provide HR support and guidance to front line managers and employees in a wide range of HR matters, including but not limited to HR Business Support, Campus Operations Support, and Operations Coordinator Support.  This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and energetic team player who has clear and effective communication, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong customer service ethic.  When required, this person will also serve as back-up for the HR Generalist, Operations and Talent Management.

 Essential Functions

HR Business Partner Support

  • Provide administrative support including, but not limited to, running reports, organizing data, drafting presentations, onboarding, training and development, benefits, compensation, and compliance
  • Enter new hire temps into the HR Information System (HRIS) for the initiation of the onboarding process
  • Co-facilitate new-employee orientations as required
  • Liaise with the Payroll Team to address payroll-related issues
  • Assist with immigration filings (H1-B transfers, Green Card processing, etc.)
  • Conduct employment verifications via telephone or electronically
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations

 Campus Operations Support

  • For campuses without dedicated Operations Coordinators, support Managing Directors (MDs) with HR-related administrative tasks
  • Create and send offer letters to identified temporary employees whilst simultaneously creating respective personnel files (P files)
  • Generate and maintain Campus Smartsheet with temporary employee information and hiring progress
  • Administer background checks, gather new-hire documentation, and save required documents in P files
  • Ensure the MDs set up and prepare for all new team member arrivals, including arranging first day logistics, providing initial onboarding training, obtaining appropriate equipment and system access, scheduling campus tours, and securing campus ID badges
  • Confirm that each new team member completes an I-9 Form and profile within the HRIS
  • Train employees and managers on how to report and approve timesheets in the HRIS and ensure timesheets are submitted and approved on time each week
  • Assist in campus’ personal time-off recording

 Operation Coordinator Support

  • Serve as point of contact for campus Operations Coordinators for matters related to temp hires, onboardings, and offboardings
  • Update and maintain Campus Operations Guidelines, Human Resources on SPARK
  • Train newly hired Operations Coordinators on all HR-related responsibilities

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in Human Resources or related field
  • High level of customer service and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Eligibility to work in and travel freely to and from the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Paylocity or similar HRIS
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in higher education
  • Experience working with customers in an administrative or academic capacity
  • Experience planning and organizing events
