Job Overview

Student Services Advisors (SSAs) help develop and support student service programs for international students. Reporting to the Student Services Manager (SSM), SSAs are responsible for collaborating with the SSM to support students’ academic engagement, social integration, and crosscultural development in their new academic and social environment.

The advisor is an energetic team player who can successfully execute support services catering to international students. The primary responsibility of the SSA is to deliver high-quality co-curricular and extracurricular support experiences for program students, as well as hands-on academic support, guidance, and mentoring. The SSA has excellent customer service skills, and the ability to focus his/her attention on individual students as they are guided through the program. The SSA also possesses the interpersonal and intercultural skills necessary to work closely with students, parents, program staff, and university administration.

Essential Functions

Student Service

  • Guide, prepare and motivate students to a successful undergraduate or graduate experience and degree completion
  • Deliver exceptional student services, beginning with pre-arrival processes, airport transfers, orientation programming,ongoing student services support,and student acculturation into the university
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of services that provide a strong foundation for the student’s academic success
  • Provide mentorship, training, and coaching to support student skill development in areas including but not limited to goal setting, strategic planning, cultural competency, problem solving,and interpersonal relationships
  • Assist in the development, promotion, and implementation of programs to support student retention and socialization/acculturation; assist in the design and implementation of orientation programming
  • Teach or coach first year transitional programming as assigned

Relationship Management

  • Support key relationships at the university and at the partnership,including Academic teams, International Student Services, Campus Housing, Dining Services, Student Development and Enrollment Services, Office of Student Involvement, Office of the Registrar, and various other departments

Technology

  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for assigned cohort of students
  • Contribute to student services operations to ensure that systems and procedures are followed and technology is used to streamline systems and procedures; as relevant, assist in the creation of new processes
  • Assist with the coordination of student satisfaction surveys and associated analysis, with an eye towards improving the student experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

Job Overview

The Events and Special Projects Coordinator (ESPC) leads Auburn Global’s efforts in planning Orientation, Familiarization Tours, Tail-gate Events, and large-scale campus cultural programs for international students enrolled in the International Accelerator Program. Reporting to the Associate Student Services Director, the ESPC coordinates the operational components of events such as room reservations, catering and transportation needs, student reservations, and the ordering of program supplies. Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with university personnel, community and student leaders. The ESPC will coordinate special projects and other events as needed.

 The successful candidate must be a skilled team player who can successfully coordinate large-scale events for students and the community. The main responsibility of this role is to ensure the delivery of a high-quality programs and experiences for all students. The ESPC must demonstrate a strong commitment to the details of event planning with a focus on meeting the needs of international students. He or she must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Essential Functions

Event Planning and Coordination

  • Work closely with Student Services, Academics, Finance, and Admissions Teams to lead planning and execution of all Orientation programs
  • Manage and delegate, in conjunction with the Student Services Director and Associate Student Services Director, the assignments for executing Orientation including but not limited to transportation, meals, venue and classroom booking, permits, university department presentations, Atlanta Airport customer service relations, cultural adjustment programming, and rules, regulations and policy discussions
  • Coordinate efforts to support the community through student/staff volunteering and donations
  • Plan large programming events, in conjunction with Student Services staff and others, including co-sponsoring campus-wide cultural events, football tailgating parties, social and cultural programs at apartment complexes, residence hall programs for domestic and international students, etc.
  • Plan and execute any additional projects that will impact the overall experience of an Auburn Global student or contribute to the success of Auburn Global

Relationship Management

  • Continue relations with university departments to strategize efficient processes during Orientation, including immigration processing, catering, reserving rooms, etc.
  • Develop and retain relationships with student organizations on campus that will provide a cultural opportunity to AG students
  • Develop and retain relationships with IMPACT and charitable organizations in the Auburn / Opelika area

Data Management

  • Create accurate records for recap of Orientation to improve the process for future intakes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal skills including experience building and maintaining relationships with a diverse network of individuals and organizations
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed

The Operations Coordinator provides overall administrative and operational support to Auburn Global. Essential Functions

Office Management

  • Welcome students and visitors to the office
  • Manage the reception desk and answer the telephone
  • Maintain all public spaces, office equipment, and overall efficiency and order within the office space
  • Serve as the primary contact to staff and building management for facilities-related requests
  • Purchase office supplies and maintain supply area
  • Coordinate department and team meetings
  • Sort and distribute daily mail and packages to staff members

  • Coordinate employee recognition and anniversary programs

HR Administrative Support

  • Partner with Shorelight Human Resources department to set up and prepare for new team members and help provide initial onboarding training, including obtaining a computer, providing a tour of the office, and arranging for building access
  • Ensure that each new team member completes an I-9 Form and profile within HRIS system
  • Assist Shorelight Headquarters in managing onboarding checklists and gathering new-hire documentation
  • Partner with employees and managers to ensure timesheets are submitted and approved on time each week
  • Manage full cycle recruiting and onboarding for temporary positions, including new hire paperwork and background checks
  • Assist in partnership personal time-off recording 

Program Support

  • Support campus marketing with campus visit schedules, logistics, hiring, and programming
  • Support finance and accounting with student billing and vendor payments
  • Support semester student orientation as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Liaise with Events Coordinator and Global Residents to plan engagement activities at housing locations 

Facilities Management

  • Coordinate with third-party property management services to assure execution of items escalated for remediation; conduct follow up as needed
  • Coordinate with local cleaning service companies on cleaning and room turnover
  • Aid in the formulation and maintenance of housing policies and procedures, which may include eligibility, lease agreements, petitions, emergency or temporary housing, and riders to leases

Residence Life Management

  • Supervise and train live-in residence staff in program housing
  • Partner with student services team to execute residence engagement strategies
  • Support student learning of community conduct standards and ensure that Global Residents are trained on how to act as a first-level contact in resolving roommate conflicts
  • Oversee the judicial process of Auburn Global students who have been given fines or need roommate conflict mediation
  • Train Global Residents on conflict resolution, inspection processes, and conduct policies
  • Liaise with student services team on at-risk students

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent data management skills, including an understanding of how to maintain complex databases and produce reports as needed
  • Experience working successfully with non-native speakers of English
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, and maintain a high energy level
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM software
  • Experience working in lease administration, portfolio management, property management, or three years of experience working in a university-based international student pathway program

Job Overview

Auburn Global seeks a dynamic individual to develop and lead our Career Accelerator initiative. Reporting to the Associate Academic Director with a dotted line to the Career Accelerator Director, the Career Accelerator Program Manager will work closely with the campus leadership team and university partners. The Program Manager will also work directly with students, preparing them for global and local internship opportunities, and serve as a local contact to nurture employer relationships and promote employers to students.

The Program Manager is a self-starter who is motivated by a challenge. Essential duties include employer outreach and relationship development; internship coordination; development of curriculum for and teaching of educational workshops, presentations, and career-related courses; coordinating career outreach programs and events; conducting one-on-one career coaching appointments; and working on special projects that address the career development needs of our students, continually expanding the student user base and scope of services provided to all our stakeholders. 

Essential Functions

Program Management

  • Manage all career development services at Auburn Global
  • Ensure all concepts and details for the Career Accelerator Program are integrated into new program and/or product launches
  • Ensure student preparedness for participation in educational internships, post-graduate job searches, and other career goals
  • Secure new internship opportunities through the development and implementation of partnerships with employers on state, regional, national, and international levels
  • Work to continuously improve the Undergraduate and Master Career Accelerator Programs and internship experience
  • Assist students in navigating the career development, planning, and implementation process by leading students through the Career Accelerator and Master Career Accelerator Programs
  • Supervise, design, present, and/or coordinate career preparation and professional development curriculum, workshops and classroom presentations with enthusiasm and creativity
  • Conduct one-on-one progress and coaching sessions
  • Ensure student preparedness for participation in educational internships, postgraduate job searches, and other career goals
  • Manage internship logistics and resolve workplace issues, ensuring that employer relationships and internship opportunities adhere to the high standards of Shorelight, the university partners, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Principals of Ethical Professional Practice
  • Utilize discretion and independent judgment while working with confidential and sensitive student information during the career orientation, program adoption, and career coaching process
  • Manage Career Accelerator and Master Career Accelerator Program materials

Relationship Management

  • Lead employer outreach and relationship development
  • Manage all career development services at Auburn Global in collaboration with university partnership departments (including the Career Center)
  • Liaise with all areas of the university’s Career Center(s) to include career development, experiential education activities, employer relations, and operations to ensure that existing services are leveraged, integrated, and contributing to the Career Center key performance indicators
  • Collaborate with Auburn Global’s Marketing team in the development of collateral to promote the Master and Undergraduate Career Accelerator Programs to existing and potential students
  • Connect with campus leadership teams, key university-partner staff, and Shorelight Education colleagues, maintaining trust through open channels of communication
  • Inspire change in students through instruction and guidance on how to reflect on previous experiences, make career-related decisions, and help increase career-related self-efficacy

Data and Technology

  • Track participation of and contact with students
  • Analyze data and reports on the progress of the program and achievement of objectives
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate current scope of services offered


Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in career services, experiential education, recruiting, or human resources
  • Experience working with international students and ability to exhibit cross-cultural awareness and understanding
  • Technical aptitude and experience with spreadsheets and/or databases
  • Eligibility to work in and travel freely to and from the USA without sponsorship

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in global studies, cross-cultural psychology, human resources, counselling or related area

·       Coordinate with local housing providers on contracts, including contract end dates and renewals

·       Maintain policies and procedures on housing, which may include eligibility, lease agreements, petitions, emergency or temporary housing, and riders to leases

People Management

·       Supervise live-in residence life staff in program housing, as needed

Minimum Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree
