Job Overview   
The Assistant Recruitment Manager (ARM) is responsible for executing a student recruitment strategy across India targeted at international students seeking a US university degree. This position will include account management of Shorelight’s country and regional network recruiters, schools and universities along with building and managing direct-to-student marketing campaigns that drive enrolments to Shorelight’s university partners.   
This position is based in India and directly reports to the Associate Director, Recruitment, South India    
Essential Functions   
The responsibilities of this position include:   
  • Manage key channel accounts and partnerships in India to achieve enrollment targets for all university partnerships
  • Contribute to, and execute on, Shorelight university partner’s student recruitment strategies
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends and reporting on all phases of recruitment process to the Regional Director, South Asia utilizing technology systems
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars,conferences, meetings and training events. Build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners and other external institutions and vendors
  • Execute an efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.) with strong focus on conversion of inquiries to applications to offers to enrolments
  • Work effectively with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry into the school-or program (working with Finance on incoming deposits, tracking of payments, processing of agent contracts and commissions as necessary, assisting with form completion, coordinating arrival transportation for new incoming students, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications   
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • 3+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry in India
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, strong drive for results, pressure-resilient
  • Proficiency with CRM technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a team-based customer service ethic
  • Willingness and ability to travel both throughout India and the USA as required
  • Experience in organizing pre-departure events and product launches
  • Eligibility to work in the hiring location without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications   
  • Beneficial to have existing network and relationships within the education industry across India, strong working knowledge of key international markets, programs and products
  • Local language proficiency would be advantageous

Job Overview

The Staff Accountant contributes to accounting activities for Campus accounting, under the direction of finance corporate leadership, helps lead the finance team in accurate reporting of financials. He/she/they is fiscally responsible and looks for opportunities to improve operational practice to align with financial goals. The Staff Accountant is a strategic thinker and problem solver with strong attention to detail and a proven customer service approach to working with others. Reporting to the Finance Manager.

Essential Functions

Accounting

  • Prepare journal entries and associated balance sheet reconciliations for the monthly financial close, including those for cash, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll, payables, intercompany/consolidation, and all required accruals as examples
  • Provide support and oversight as it relates to team members supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Collaborate with Finance team on all financial aspects of assigned partnerships, including maintaining KPI’s on corporate expenditures and target operational metrics

Strategy and Data Management

  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc financial reporting for senior leadership
  • Assist management with monthly and quarterly financial reviews by documenting analysis explaining unusual adjustments and differences to budget

Compliance and Process Improvement

  • Assist with corporate audit readiness
  • Work with Finance, Analytics, and IT team members to identify ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of month end processes and assist in initiatives to implement the improvements for financial reporting
  • Supporting ongoing projects to improve NetSuite design and reporting capabilities
  • Support new rollout of Coupa software for expense procurement/payables/treasury and employee expenditure activity
  • Review, recommend, and implement best practices regarding accounting policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounting
  • Proven expertise using Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
  • Budget, month end, and accrual experience
  • Detail oriented, with exceptional organization and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the company
  • Customer service focused, with demonstrated ability to communicate courteously and timely
  • Eligibility to work in, and travel freely to and from, the United States without sponsorship

Job Overview

The Admissions Advisor assists with the admissions of international students for both Direct and International Accelerator Programs (IAP). Working within the Enrollment Management team, the Admissions Advisor possesses a high degree of self-direction, strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. He or she demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity toward students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Essential Functions

Admissions Data Management & Integrity

  • Receive applications and documents from students/agents
  • Review applications, transcripts, and other documents required for international student admissions and evaluate academic and English credentials to determine admissibility to University programs; render decisions on student’s admissibility
  • Advise agents/students/internal team members on admissions requirements; provide support to enable completion of application
  • Input and maintain data into Shorelight’s and Partner University’s CRM/EM systems
  • Review daily reports to manage workflow and ensure processing of applications and offers are meeting required deadlines
  • Collect and verify I-20/financial documents; liaise with University PDSO to issue I-20
  • Prepare acceptance packet
  • Develop and run data reports for routine reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Administrative Support

  • Support the Academic and Student Services Directors by assisting with pre-arrival processes and documentation, including partner and student inquiries
  • Review and coordinate mail and documentation on a daily basis
  • Respond to e-mail and phone inquiries
  • Assist with webinars for future students
  • Process requests for information packets and prepare mailings to prospective students
  • Participate in staff meetings

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education, international education, or related field
  • 2+ years Admissions experience, including working knowledge of university admissions processes
  • Knowledge of international student services within a higher education setting
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate and accomplish work goals 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Ability to think independently, thoroughly, and critically in fast-paced contexts
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from local, national, and international constituencies
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent English verbal and writing skills and ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of cultures and linguistic backgrounds

  • Virtually audit live lecture sessions and provide assistance to students and faculty
  • Provide administrative, logistical, and technical support to students
  • Manage student success by actively monitoring student performance and using predictive metrics to provide student support
  • Coordinate with local operations team to provide technical support during live lectures
  • Coordinate and support team projects and off-site activities
  • Provide program feedback to local team, faculty, and corporate teams
  • Plan and execute student recruitment and corporate demonstrations to prospective students and partners
  • Plan and write engaging content for the program blog; collaborate with students, faculty, and program staff to develop strategies for content
