Job Overview
The Senior Revenue Manager contributes to revenue generating activities for corporate accounting and helps lead the campus revenue team in accurate reporting of financials.  He/she/they is/are fiscally responsible and looks for opportunities to improve operational practice to align with financial goals. The Senior Revenue Manager contributes to the creation, review, and training of staff on all Finance Department policies.  This role reports to the Corporate Controller.

Essential Functions
People Management
  • Recruit, develop, and retain team members to ensure productivity and engagement
  • Engage in talent management activities such as goal setting, performance evaluations, stay interviews, development planning, and ongoing feedback to develop team members and achieve organization goals
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and corrective action (when necessary) to team members
  • Foster a culture that reflects Shorelight’s values
Revenue Accounting
  • Support the preparation of journal entries necessary to properly recognize revenue for the current campus partnerships as needed
  • Review all balance sheets reconciliations for assigned campus locations
  • Analyze new agreements and document alignment with our ASC 606 memo
  • Analyze gross margin by campus partnerships with a comparison to budget and forecast
  • Create and review deferred revenue by campus partnerships
  • Work with the Partner Operations team to complete a detailed bad debt analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on the implementation process of any new campus partnerships
  • Collaborate with the Finance team on all financial aspects of assigned campus partnerships, including maintaining KPI’s and target operational metrics
  • Assist in all aspects of the annual external and internal audit(s) and manage special projects to achieve both company and finance team goals
  • Work with finance management to review, develop, and implement internal control policies for the Finance Department, especially as they relate to IT system controls
  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc financial reporting for senior leadership
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to analyze unusual adjustments and differences to the budget
  • Partner with IT to develop efficiencies in reconciling student data between NetSuite and Salesforce
  • Support ongoing projects to improve NetSuite design and reporting capabilities
  • Review, recommend, and implement best practices regarding accounting policies and procedures
Security

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA)
  • 4+ years of experience in public accounting
  • 4+ years of management experience in a revenue facing role
  • 4+ year of experience in a private or public company setting
  • Strong working experience using Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in the use and analysis of data from Salesforce
  • Working knowledge with accounting software such as NetSuite or similar large-scale ERP platform

  • Provide support and oversight as it relates to team members supporting the monthly financial close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Collaborate with the Finance team on all financial aspects of assigned partnerships, including maintaining KPI’s on corporate expenditures and target operational metrics

  • Partner with the Sales and Commissions team to properly account for commissions and bonuses

  • Support the Company’s adoption and future adherence to ASC842 Lease Accounting
  • Review monthly international subsidiary financial packages
  • Support international treasury with monthly international cash forecasting and banking covenants
  • Compare actual results to budgeted expectations with the FP&A Team and provide additional reconciliation support where needed
  • Leverage FloQast to drive enhancements in the monthly close process

Compliance and Process Improvement

  • Inventory all office supplies and snacks and purchase as needed to maintain supply area

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of office management and event planning experience

Job Overview

The Project Manager leads projects and teams, ranging in size and complexity, defines appropriate project methodology, and executes cross-functional projects from initiation to closure. The role will lead scope definition, risk identification, and quality control. This position reports on project status; determines time frames, staffing, and resource requirements; and leads others to make meaningful process improvements. The Project Manager manages projects to delivery within scope, on time, and on budget.

Essential Functions

Project Management

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, including planning, assessment, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of solutions
  • Lead or contribute to the development of project definition and scope with applicable stakeholders 
  • Work closely and collaboratively with project leadership to anticipate and surface areas of risk, and proposed solutions.Gather project requirements and document technical and operational specifications
  • Create project plans with detailed task distribution and execute projects to ensure the project is delivered on time and aligned with customer expectations
  • Monitor and document project milestones, outcomes, and responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct project team meetings and situational analysis regularly to ensure appropriate communication to all stakeholders 

Reporting and Documentation

  • Develop presentations, dashboards, reports, and other team- and executive-level project communications and documentation
  • Develop, communicate, and implement project risk mitigation plans, complete documentation to effectively monitor risk, and ensure accountability and responsibility of key business leaders
  • Develop and implement contingency and recovery plans when deliverables are missed
  • Document and communicate project changes, project health, and project status to project team, business owners, and executive sponsors

Project Work

  • Contribute to configuration, troubleshooting, and design work for assigned projects, as needed
  • Provide support, training, and augmentations for live projects, if necessary

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience in analyzing systems and gathering requirements from stakeholders and documenting requirement specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to make executive-level presentations to stakeholders and organizational leadership
  • Eligibility to work in, and travel freely to and from, the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience implementing complex solutions in rapidly evolving business environment
  • Experience working with remote third-party development teams
  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies as well as stay current on existing ones, pursuing experience and certifications in leading-edge or primary technology areas
