Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Senior HR Generalist supports the Human Resources team in a dynamic, global organization experiencing high growth.  This individual will provide support in the areas of HR Operations and Talent Management as well as serve as back-up to the HR Generalist, Business Partner Support.  This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and energetic team player who has clear and effective communication, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong customer service ethic.

 Essential Functions

HR Operations Support

  • Act as an effective liaison to other business functions, including, but not limited to Payroll, FP&A, and IT
  • Co-facilitate new-employee orientations as required
  • Conduct employment verifications via telephone or electronically as needed

 HR Information Systems and Data Integrity

  • Monitor and maintain employee data and records
  • Review HR Information System (HRIS) entries to ensure accurate information is entered into the system for audit and compliance purposes
  • Create custom reports and dashboards, and serve as the point of contact for ad hoc report requests
  • Function as subject matter advisor regarding all processes and system requirements (workflows, security, reporting, integrations)
  • Enter data into the HRIS as needed

  • Manage relationships with the benefits broker team, third-party benefit plan providers, and other external vendors
  • Support implementation and administration of benefits programs, including open enrollment, changes and termination of participants in benefit plans, and HR system updates

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations

  • Establish and maintain awareness and understanding of employment law, industry trends, current practices and new developments

 Performance Management Support

  • Maintain data integrity of performance management system
  • Assist the VP, HR with administering annual performance evaluation process by scheduling trainings, drafting communications, and addressing tier-one questions from participants
  • Administer post-evaluation survey

 Talent Management Support & Employee Engagement

  • Provide administrative support including, but not limited to, creating reports, drafting presentations, and drafting correspondence
  • Assist in the coordination of trainings by managing invitations, overseeing facilities/IT logistics, and ordering catering when needed
  • Serve as an Employee Engagement Committee member and provide logistical support to the committee
  • Administer LinkedIn Learning and the HR Team’s page on SPARK (internal web portal)

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources or related field
  • High level of customer service and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Knowledge of standard HR operations and policies, and the demonstrated ability to follow established protocols, identify new needs, and document new protocols
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Eligibility to work in and travel freely to and from the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of HRIS
  • Industry certification – PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP

Job Overview

The Studio Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the UMass Boston Global broadcast studios. Essential Functions

Broadcast Operations

  • Operate broadcast studio for academic courses and demonstrations, ensuring proper configuration of equipment and software prior to each broadcast

  • Manage the broadcast platform and preform administrative tasks for production readiness

Job Overview

The Senior Data Engineer translates business requirements into data solutions. This includes the design, development, and deployment of batch and near-real-time data processing, with a primary focus on maintaining the back-end components that support the company’s data warehousing and CRM system integration.  He or she requires demonstrated technical and functional skills in data management, including ETL, and data warehousing and data wrangling, combined with in-depth analytical and production support experience.  Effective oral and written communication skills are essential along with creative-thinking skills and an ability to use data to inform all decisions.

Reporting to the Director of Data Architecture, the Senior Data Engineer leads user acceptance testing, deploys to production environments, and guides and supports other Data Engineers on the team. He or she must follow the defined development standards and best practices and attend code reviews to assure compliance.

Essential Functions

Data Integration

  • Design, develop, and test data integration processes among business systems and data warehouses in multiple DBMS environments, including cloud-based systems
  • Design, develop, and test system integrations among enterprise front-and back-office applications (ERP, CRM, Financial, Planning, and other systems)
  • Prepare documentation and flow charts of systems, business processes, and databases
  • Lead solutioning and participate in data modeling design sessions
  • Implement code changes based on system specifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in data management and ETL design/development
  • Experience in database development using Amazon Redshift, DB2, SQL Server, and/or Oracle
  • Strong SQL scripting skills, including procedural languages such as PL/SQL and T-SQL
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, and Pentaho PDI
  • Experience in working with large-scale data warehousing and complex transformations
  • Experience in working with dimensional models
  • Experience using a software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology
  • Knowledge of Stored Procedures/Unix scripting knowledge

The Senior Marketing Events Coordinator leads events strategy, planning, execution, and reporting for our broad portfolio of B2B and consumer-facing events across the globe, driving enrollments from students seeking educational experiences from leading U.S. universities. He or she works closely with our university partners and our analytics, marketing, and recruitment teams to develop a global event plan and a centralized platform of events expertise that supports student recruitment, launches products, and builds highly productive relationships with channel partners. 

The Senior Marketing Events Coordinator is a rigorous and thorough project manager with creative problem-solving abilities, independent judgment skills, and great attention to detail. This role develops high-quality, innovative, and impactful events that seamlessly integrate with regional student acquisition and channel expansion plans and result in measurable return on investment. This position reports to the Executive Director, Marketing.

Essential Functions

Event Planning, Management, and Execution

  • Own and oversee all events across the business, in all regions, and maintain an up-to-date calendar overview of events for all stakeholders
  • Develop and execute a global events strategy and plan for delivery, in partnership with regional event leads, Marketing, Recruitment, and Analytics 
  • Oversee end-to-end execution of events in regions that lack Shorelight marketing or events staff
  • Define meaningful, consistent metrics of success and apply these across all events
  • Track success though qualitative and quantitative metrics, and report regularly to stakeholders, ensuring a constant feedback and improvement loop to inform investment decisions and ROI 
  • Work with Analytics to move events data into Tableau for data visualization and dashboards
  • Act as the central point of contact for all events-related digital marketing, CRM, content and creative support to target, communicate, promote, and deliver events effectively
  • Ensure events materials are correctly branded and contain accurate, up-to-date product information
  • Create a living playbook, outlining best practices and learnings, that simplifies processes and allows us to further deploy events at scale 
  • Lead planning, logistics, and execution of large-scale familiarization trips
  • Act as lead coordinator/liaison for hosting visitors, small groups, large groups, and individuals
  • Lead planning, logistics, and execution of Boston-based in-office events and other events within the local Boston area as needed
  • Ensure that all visiting agents and staff receive a high level of service and assistance with their visit, including itineraries, travel arrangements, accommodations, and campus coordination
  • Develop and implement a strategic calendar of events based on stakeholder feedback, budget and timeline constraints

Budget Management

  • Own and manage the global events budget, ensure accurate, accessible tracking and make recommendations for reducing costs where needed 
  • Perform detailed tracking of complex budgets, attendees, and results in CRM to develop ROI metrics    
  • Manage relationships with external consultants (events management experts) and vendors (hotels, catering, exhibitions etc.),
  • Act as key point of contact for consultants and vendors
  • Work cross-departmentally within Shorelight as well as with external vendors to execute the global events plan and use CRM, brand, and communications to ensure accurate targeting, frictionless delivery, and long-term value from investment in events

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, events management, business, international relations, or related area
  • 3 years’ tactical marketing or events management experience, preferably within international education or higher education
  • Experience developing and implementing a marketing or events plan and managing budgets
  • Experience planning and managing events and marketing for events
  • Ability to think independently, thoroughly, and critically in fast-paced contexts
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from local, national, and international constituencies

Job Overview

The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for all aspects of revenue accounting and reconciliations.   • Review partnership agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards
  • Manage monthly revenue and AR close process by partnering with Staff Accountants to ensure timely and accurate posting of monthly revenue and reporting of AR and customer deposit balances
  • Reconcile key revenue accounts, including but not limited to AR, AR allowance, and deferred revenue
  • Complete other revenue and AR-related projects for the partnership schools assigned
  • Prepare commission-related journal entries and associated account reconciliations
  • Perform custom revenue reporting and margin analysis at the partner and student levels
  • Partner with operations and IT teams on price setting and related system updates
  • Collaborate with NetSuite System Administrator to ensure new programs are added to NetSuite on a timely and accurate basis
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, including the integration between Salesforce and NetSuite
  • Process customer refunds and write-offs, and prepare associated accounting entries
  • Assist in annual audit requests in the areas of AR, deferred revenue, revenue, and commissions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Manage and facilitate meetings with critical internal stakeholders specifically in areas impacting admissions optimization and readiness
