Job Overview
The Marketplace Product Coordinator promotes and manages all non-academic products and services offered through Cleveland State Global, which includes but is not limited to student housing and accommodations, dining plans, insurance, affiliate vendor services, and living essentials catered to international students enrolled in international accelerator programs. The Marketplace Product Coordinator designs and maintains complex, dynamic data systems that track and report all products and services offered, including but not limited to, housing rosters, insurance enrollment, career services enrollment, therefore strong data management skills are essential. He/She/They owns the financial performance, marketing associated with the products, and the student satisfaction for Shorelight Marketplace. This role reports to the Product Manager, Housing Solutions, and assists in coaching  student workers who live in residential communities. 
 
The Marketplace Product Coordinator is an energetic team player who takes initiative and has excellent oral and written communication skills. Exceptional sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation abilities are critical. He/She/They is a skilled problem solver who demonstrates tact, patience, and diplomacy, particularly with non-native English speakers. The Marketplace Product Coordinator is organized, comfortable multitasking, adjusts quickly to shifting priorities, and has a strong attention to detail.
 
Essential Functions
Ancillary Services Management
  • Support pre-arrival process with Student Services to ensure ancillary program assignments are prepared, , making housing assignments, and executing room set-up lists as well as managing other various tasks as needed.
  • Assist to enroll students in program-managed housing, dining, insurance, and other ancillary products, maintaining accurate student records for each product, as well as keeping accurate and up-to-date housing inventory to assist in forecasting exercises.
  • Collaborate with student services team in updating ancillary products, including activation and continuation of dining, insurance, and other services delivered to students. 
  • Oversee regular housing inspection schedules and follow-up on remediation as necessary through third-party vendor networks. 
  • Promote the purchase, enrollment, and collection of ancillary services, through current sales channels, direct to student, or through University partners. 
Facilities Management 
  • Coordinate cleaning services provided by local companies for accommodations cleaning and timely room turnover. 
  • Support execution of housing policies and procedures, which may include eligibility, waivers, student lease agreements, and emergency temporary housing.
  • Engage in execution of room occupancy and housing assignment management, including placements, changes, occupancy data, and residential records in Salesforce and other relevant systems.
  • Act as contact for student concerns, maintenance issues, facility challenges, and mediations/student conduct instances.
Administrative Support
  • Manage, maintain, and distribute leasing documents to residents.
  • Collaborate with Operations Manager for mass communications to residents prior to distribution.
  • Update all housing-related roster and transfer necessary information to the CRM.
  • Maintain database of student interactions to ensure consistent messaging and support.
People Management
  • Recruit, develop, and retain team members to ensure productivity and engagement.
  • Engage in talent management activities such as goal setting, performance evaluations, stay interviews, development planning, and ongoing feedback to develop team members and achieve organizational goals. 
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and corrective action (when necessary) to team members 
  • Ensure consistent 24/7 coverage for the duty phone is scheduled, especially for evenings, weekends, and peak times.
  • Foster a culture that reflects Shorelight’s values.
Security

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree + 1 year related work experience or 3+ years related work experience in hospitality, residential life, or property management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Working experience in maintaining and enforcing compliance with program rules, regulations, and policies
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Hospitality Operations Management
  • Experience working successfully with non-native speakers of English
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM software to produce reports and accurate data
  • 3+ years working in a direct customer facing role

Shorelight is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director, Marketplace Product Sales, to lead our marketplace sales strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, exceptional sales skills, and a passion for driving product success with the higher education industry. The Director, Marketplace Product Sales is responsible for leading our Marketplace sales strategy for our growing suite of non-academic products and services. The role reports to the Senior Vice President, Marketplace.
 
Essential Functions
 
Sales Strategy & Planning  
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention for all non-academic products. 
  • Track and analyze sales metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve product performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and marketplace trends for management review. Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth. 
  • Establish processes and procedures for maintaining maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with the Marketplace team and Marketing team to ensure alignment between marketing efforts, product features/updates and sales.  
Customer Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners in the marketplace.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences, adapting strategies accordingly.

Job Overview

The Academic Operations Coordinator (AOC) provides support for the UIC Global academic team. Under the direction of academic leadership, the AOC drives academic protocols and implementation of academic policies along with tracking key performance indicators for student success data.  This role supports students with curricular requirements for their intended majors as well as utilization of academic support services on campus. He/She/They supports UIC Global and University staff to provide students with a smooth transition to their degree program.  The AOC is responsible for accurate record keeping and supports academic leadership in scheduling, teaching, and relationship building with UIC Global. This position reports to the Academic [Operations] Director.

Essential Functions

Academic Data Management & Integrity

·        Coordinate the collection of data and report on Academic KPI’s

·        Develop and maintain cohort and student academic history and academic performance tracking

·        Maintain student academic records and statistics, including progression statistics, grade alerts, student cases notes in the university advising system, and notes from faculty

 

Academic Services

·        Register students in courses within the student information system

·        Develop and present workshops in partnership with Student Services

·        Assist in the preparation and delivery of academic overview session at student orientation

 

Relationship Management

·        Function as academic liaison to the student services team, providing trainings, and serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) as required

·        Coordinate the academic support services for UIC Global students in partnership with the university

·        Work closely with the university advisors to ensure a coordinated advising and registration process as students’ progress

·        Participate in committee meetings with stakeholders across the university, including faculty and staff

The Enrollment Management Coordinator provides support to the admissions and enrollment of students at Shorelight Partner campuses in the Midwest region.  This role manages all admissions processing, supports marketing and international student services, and collaborates with internal staff to identify business needs, define admissions requirements, and enhance business and systems workflows to support the enrollment management for a diverse product portfolio.  This role reports to the Director of Enrollment Management.

  • Collaborate with Director(s) of Enrollment Management and student services on pre-arrival activities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of programs to support student enrollment including webinars, campus visits, student outreach, etc.
  • Coordinate I-20 process with staff

 

Relationship Management

  • Liaise with critical university personnel, including but not limited to, Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions Directors, Primary Designated School Official, and other admissions staff
  • Assume responsibility for handling all inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Support partnership relationships with key stakeholders in the enrollment process across the university

 

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Develop and oversee enrollment management reports to track application and I-20 processing turnaround times and escalate issues to the appropriate parties as necessary

Job Overview

The Student Services Advisor (SSA) helps develop and support student service programs and successfully execute support services catered to international students.  The primary responsibility of the SSA is to deliver high-quality cocurricular and extracurricular support experiences for program students, as well as hands-on academic support, guidance, and mentoring.  SSAs are responsible for collaborating within the UOP International Team to support students’ academic engagement, social integration, and cross-cultural development in their new academic and social environments.  This role reports to the Student Services Manager.

Essential Functions

Student Services

  • Guide, prepare, and motivate students to a successful undergraduate or graduate experience and degree completion
  • Deliver exceptional student services, beginning with pre-arrival processes, airport transfers, orientation programming, ongoing student services support, and student acculturation into the university providing a strong foundation for the student’s academic success
  • Mentor, train, and coach students to support their skill development in goal setting, strategic planning, cultural competency, problem solving, and interpersonal relationships, among other areas

  • Track data around ancillary products (housing, health insurance, etc.) and inventory (swag, linen packs, etc.) and submit proposals to Managing Director for budget availability
  • Contribute to student services operations to ensure that systems and procedures are followed and technology is used to streamline systems and procedures; as relevant, assist in the creation of new processes
  • Assist with the coordination of student satisfaction surveys and associated analysis, with an eye toward improving the student experience

The Senior Managing Director (SMD) develops and serves as the operational leader across programs for international students at one or more university partnership. The SMD drives enrollment goals and ensures a high-quality experience for all students in these specialized academic programs. As the most senior member of the partnership team, the SMD builds the partnerships and oversees day-to-day operations.  The SMD also provides strategic and ongoing leadership to the partnership team(s), sharing best practices, managing performance based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and ensuring account management among university leadership on each campus.  This leadership position is based at or near a Shorelight partner school, may include approximately 25% of travel to existing and prospective partnerships, and reports to the Executive Director, Regional Partner Operations

Senior Campus Operations

  • Provide leadership, manage performance, and ensure KPIs are exceeded and programs are running consistently in areas of student enrollment, satisfaction, student support, academic quality, staff engagement, P&L management and other metrics as determined by the partnership Steering Committees

  • Create platform to report on monthly metrics, including but not limited to student enrollment, satisfaction, retention, progression, staff engagement, and P&L management
  • Manage operations of the region, including ensuring systems and procedures are established and followed to maintain accurate records and reporting on all aspects of the program

  • Recruit, develop, and retain team members to ensure productivity and engagement

Security

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience in management
  • Demonstrated P&L responsibility

Job Overview

The Student Services Advisor (SSA) helps develop and support student service programs and successfully execute support services catered to international students.  The primary responsibility of the SSA is to deliver high-quality cocurricular and extracurricular support experiences for program students, as well as hands-on academic support, guidance, and mentoring.  SSAs are responsible for collaborating within the UOP International Team to support students’ academic engagement, social integration, and cross-cultural development in their new academic and social environments.  This role reports to the Student Services Manager.

 

The SSA plans large and small events throughout the year so being a strategic problem solver who is exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail is essential.  He/She/They has a proven customer service approach to working with others, specifically with students, parents, program staff, and university administration.  Empathy in managing culturally sensitive situations is essential.  The SSA has exceptional presentation and oral and written communication skills.  He/She/They is a team player who can work independently, is comfortable multitasking, can change priorities to fit business needs, and manages time efficiently.

 

Essential Functions

Student Services

  • Guide, prepare, and motivate students to a successful undergraduate or graduate experience and degree completion
  • Deliver exceptional student services, beginning with pre-arrival processes, airport transfers, orientation programming, ongoing student services support, and student acculturation into the university providing a strong foundation for the student’s academic success
  • Mentor, train, and coach students to support their skill development in goal setting, strategic planning, cultural competency, problem solving, and interpersonal relationships, among other areas
  • Assist in the development, promotion, and implementation of programs to support student retention and socialization/acculturation; assist in the design and implementation of orientation programming
  • Teach or coach first-year transitional programming if applicable

 

Relationship Management

  • Support key relationships at the university and at the partnership, including academic teams, International Student Services, Campus Housing, Dining Services, Student Development and Enrollment Services, Office of Student Involvement, Office of the Registrar, and various other departments
  • Develop and maintain interdepartmental relationships with on-campus partners to guide and improve processes
  • Communicate openly and effectively with campus and community partners in accordance with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) about health and safety issues, incidents, and problems

 

Data and Technology

  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for assigned cohort of students
  • Track data around ancillary products (housing, health insurance, etc.) and inventory (swag, linen packs, etc.) and submit proposals to Managing Director for budget availability
  • Contribute to student services operations to ensure that systems and procedures are followed and technology is used to streamline systems and procedures; as relevant, assist in the creation of new processes
  • Assist with the coordination of student satisfaction surveys and associated analysis, with an eye toward improving the student experience

 

Security

Job Overview

As a member of the IAP management team, the Associate Academic Director (AAD) oversees the academic program operations of UIC Global and manages the day-to-day academic operations.  The AAD may be responsible for implementation and execution of academic policies, academic support services, academic budget, and data analysis and reporting. Reporting to the Academic Director, the AAD ensures a high-quality academic experience for all students in the program. The AAD collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and university administrators to provide attention and guidance to program students as well as organize effective student support in all areas of the curriculum, tutorials, and progression through the program. 

 

This skilled academic leader has the interpersonal and customer service skills to work closely with a range of administrators, faculty, and students, especially non-native English speakers.  The individual is a strong team player who participates in both academic and student services initiatives with tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity.  Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, creative thinking abilities are essential. High energy and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.  The AAD will manage Academic Coordinator(s) and academic support staff.

 

Essential Functions

Academic Program Management

  • Stay current with the latest developments and best practices in ESL pedagogy, curriculum development, testing, and teaching
  • Advise on the selection and/or preparation of supplemental teaching materials (including textbooks, websites, multimedia resources, and self-created materials) for international students at different CEFR levels
  • Support the academic team to ensure all students are informed of and adhere to university policies regarding academic integrity and related university academic and student policies
  • Support the Academic Director in liaising with academic groups and other partners related to the matriculation and on-boarding of new students initially, through the IAP, and progression into university degree programs
  • Assist the Academic Director in maintaining academic program quality and standards of the university and its accrediting bodies and ensuring continuous evaluation and improvement of the curricula within IAP
  • Teach partnership courses as needed

 

Academic Operations

  • Manage academic operations (per guidelines of the Academic Director), including ensuring that established systems and procedures are followed and that accurate records and Salesforce reports on the program are maintained
  • Supervise and manage academic program logistics, including course offerings and scheduling, classroom allocation, academic support services, and resource preparation with IAP academic support staff
  • Collaborate with academic departments, curriculum committees, university assessment centers, and the on-campus English Language Training and Academy to deliver workshops, professional development series, and determine appropriate instructional and academic support for faculty, students, and administrators
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of extensive academic sessions and post-arrival testing at each orientation
  • Oversee academic support programming, including conducting regular observations of instructors, tutors, and supplemental instructors in the classroom, keeping accurate and complete records and communicating the results, as needed
  • Liaise with the academic program officers within each school and major on academic operations matters to ensure a coordinated advising and registration process through the program and as students’ progress

 

Data and Reporting

  • Analyze data and report on the progress and satisfaction of the students’ achievement of objectives, including progression through the program and degree completion at the university
  • Oversee the collection and storage of reports for sponsored students in the IAP, MAP, and PS programs, summarizing and communicating the results as needed
  • Implement, monitor, and report student retention, academic tracking, and student performance

 

Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with the Student Services Director to enhance student services activities
  • Serve as primary contact with the Shorelight national academic team and the international recruitment and admissions team for any academic related matters
  • Represent and promote the program through participation in academic events and familiarization tours, and through memberships and affiliations as appropriate

 

People Management

  • Familiarity with the IAP and English language programs, including the CEFR-based levels and classes taught at each level (e.g., Integrated Skills, Applied Grammar, and Specific Skills) and the courses and sequence of the IAP programs
  • Experience working with international students in a higher education setting
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations, including visa requirements, pertaining to the legal instruction of international students in the United States
  • Demonstrated understanding of class management tools, including databases, Microsoft Office programs, course management systems, and various forms of media to support an interactive and student-centered classroom experience
  • Experience working within an educational collaboration and/or complex organization
