Job Overview
The Product Sales Manager is responsible for executing a student recruitment strategy across South Asia targeted at international students seeking a US university degree. This position will work across all channels to maximize the recruitment efforts in the South Asia for a specific set of Shorelight partner universities. The role is a combination of sales and marketing and will work closely with Shorelight’s in market recruitment teams and partners as well as Shorelight’s marketing and campus-based teams.
 
Essential Functions
The responsibilities of this position include:
  • Work across all channels within South Asia to achieve specific targets for a specific set of products
  • Contribute to, and execute on, Shorelight university partner’s broader student recruitment strategies
  • Develop and execute a product specific recruitment plan across South Asia in conjunction with Shorelight regional recruitment and campus teams
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends and reporting on all phases of recruitment process to the GM and campus managing directors and product management team
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Work closely with the regional recruitment teams to ensure all Shorelight recruitment staff members and our partners are trained on the relevant products
  • Delivering counsellor training to Shorelight partners in the region as needed
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, exhibitions and training events. Build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners and other external institutions and vendors
  • Work closely with regional recruitment teams and US based product/campus teams to execute new product launches in market
  • Accountable for providing firsthand feedback to the US based product/campus teams on market conditions, recruitment activities, marketing campaigns and suggestions for further product optimization
  • Execute an efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.) with strong focus on conversion of inquiries to applications to offers to enrollments
  •  Work effectively with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry into the school or program
  • Work closely with campus teams to ensure student feedback, testimonials and future alumni events are in place
  • Work with relevant campus teams on FAM trips involving partners from South Asia
  • Manage the student ambassador programs for current students to return to their home country during breaks and attend events focused on prospective students or parents
  • Assist regional recruitment teams in organizing and delivering pre-departure events
 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, strong drive for results, pressure-resilient
  • Proficiency with CRM technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a team-based customer service ethic
  • Willingness and ability to travel across South Asia and to the US is required

This position is a short-term contract position (initially 6 months) seeking proof of concept and ROI for a university-specific recruitment manager. 
 
The Regional Recruitment Manager (RRM) executes a student recruitment strategy across key territories that targets international students seeking a US university degree.  The role includes marketing activities in the region (primarily India, but with potential travel also to China, Vietnam or other key markets for UoP), as well as high level account management of key channel partners, business development and long tail activation.  The RRM drives and ultimately ensures the execution of the recruitment strategy across the region and multiple channels to maximize opportunities and build the brand of the university.
 
Essential Functions 
Business Development and Relationship Management 
  • Under the guidance of a Shorelight recruitment leader and the Vice President of Partner Operations, this position is responsible for the execution of the UoP International growth plan globally, including channel activation, marketing and recruitment activities.  
  • Develop and manage the channel growth (agencies, high schools and other channels) across the region to meet bookings goals. 
  • Develop and manage the execution of channel management plans to meet bookings goals, including working intensively with champion agents. 
  • Co-develop and ensure execution of key regional initiatives to increase opportunities and branding for UoP, including fair attendance, agent training. 
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge and market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Essential Functions  
Admissions Data Management & Integrity  
  • Receive applications and documents from students/agents

Key Responsibilities

I-20 and Visa Preparation

  • Collaborate closely with admissions, agents and recruitment for all confirmed students to ensure efficient completion of required documents to achieve I-20s for students
  • Provide a comprehensive visa preparation service to students and agents including regular presentations to agencies, sharing of tips and best practices, and mock interviews with students to achieve high visa issuance rates
  • Track and analyze visa appointments, embassy processing times and student interview feedback to continuously enhance and adapt visa preparation according to current trends and insights

Pre-Departure Process and Activity Management

  • Design, manage and facilitate an engaging and informative pre-departure concierge service for students, parents and agencies
  • Participate with the planning and implementation of pre-departure events (online and offline)
  • Ensure student’s financial obligations are met by facilitating payments of tuition and other associated fees before departure, achieving 90% pre-payment

Regional Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for aspects of the student recruitment process assisting the EMEA Recruitment team. The Enrollment Counselor leads and executes our lead management and conversion activities in the EMEA region targeted at students seeking a U.S. university degree. Based in Dubai, the Enrollment Counselor works as part of a highly motivated professional team and is responsible for the D2C lead management and conversion of new students on campus.

The role primarily focuses on helping qualified potential international students to achieve their academic goals by advising, supporting, and enrolling them in one of Shorelight’s university partners programs. This position works closely with marketing/D2C teams to provide student-focused, optimal learning experiences and services that lead to student conversion.  Measures of success for this role include the ability to drive direct applications, conversion from offer to deposit, and conversion from deposit to enrollment. A large proportion of this sales and service role is speaking with applicants and parents via online chat platforms, email, and telephone daily.


Essential Functions 

Student Lead Management

  • Contribute to the growth of the business and to new student enrollments by assessing potential applicants and determining their eligibility to apply and enroll in various academic programs
  • Collaborate regularly with real-time feedback loops with Digital Marketing
  • Manage digital campaigns, messaging, lead volume, and lead conversion activities
  • Use a consultative sales approach to guide and support prospective students through the enrollment process
  • Receive and follow up on potential students via phone, email, social media, and, where beneficial and feasible, in person
  • Build rapport with and guide students interested in obtaining a degree or certificate program based on prospective student’s desired goals or career interest
  • Provide a positive and superior student experience
  • Consistently seek opportunity to drive student growth by referrals
  • Maintain a high-level knowledge of current programs, products, processes, and policies
  • Demonstrate expertise in all steps of the admissions process
  • Understand and communicate the value propositions of our brands (and those of our competitors) to provide an excellent student experience by offering the right program

 

Conversion Activities

  • Drive new student enrollments from pipeline of student leads through conversion efforts
  • Execute on tailored conversion activities to drive conversion from sales-qualified lead to application, application to confirmation, and confirmation to enrollment via multiple platforms to reach enrollment goals
  • Leverage available tools and develop new tools that move students through the conversion process, including scholarships, student ambassador connections, webinars, testimonials, and campus visits

 Tracking and Reporting

  • Leverage Salesforce CRM for tracking of assigned students to track their status and progress toward enrollment
  • Create consistent and observable documentation in Salesforce and throughout the student cycle of student engagement, activities, and processes
  • Maintain and keep updated an ongoing student pipeline status dashboard to provide ongoing updates and reports to the team on the health of the student pipeline

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior education sales/enrollment experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of CRM software, e.g. Salesforce, preferred
  • Ability to sell high-value consumer services or products
  • Proficient in writing and speaking English and preferably Arabic
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must possess confident telephone presence
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively by meeting quality standards
  • Must possess effective time management skills, sense of urgency, and ability to plan and prioritize daily activities
  • Excellent consultative skills and demonstrated ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess ability to receive constructive feedback and demonstrate accountability

Job Overview

The Product Sales Manager is responsible for executing a student recruitment strategy across South Asia targeted at international students seeking a US university degree. This position will work across all channels to maximize the recruitment efforts in the South Asia for a specific set of Shorelight partner universities. The role is a combination of sales and marketing and will work closely with Shorelight’s in market recruitment teams and partners as well as Shorelight’s marketing and campus-based teams.

 

Essential Functions

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Work across all channels within South Asia to achieve specific targets for a specific set of products
  • Contribute to, and execute on, Shorelight university partner’s broader student recruitment strategies
  • Develop and execute a product specific recruitment plan across South Asia in conjunction with Shorelight regional recruitment and campus teams
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends and reporting on all phases of recruitment process to the GM and campus managing directors and product management team
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Work closely with the regional recruitment teams to ensure all Shorelight recruitment staff members and our partners are trained on the relevant products
  • Delivering counsellor training to Shorelight partners in the region as needed
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, exhibitions and training events. Build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners and other external institutions and vendors
  • Work closely with regional recruitment teams and US based product/campus teams to execute new product launches in market
  • Accountable for providing firsthand feedback to the US based product/campus teams on market conditions, recruitment activities, marketing campaigns and suggestions for further product optimization
  • Execute an efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.) with strong focus on conversion of inquiries to applications to offers to enrollments
  •  Work effectively with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry into the school or program
  • Work closely with campus teams to ensure student feedback, testimonials and future alumni events are in place
  • Work with relevant campus teams on FAM trips involving partners from South Asia
  • Manage the student ambassador programs for current students to return to their home country during breaks and attend events focused on prospective students or parents
  • Assist regional recruitment teams in organizing and delivering pre-departure events

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, strong drive for results, pressure-resilient
  • Proficiency with CRM technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a team-based customer service ethic
  • Willingness and ability to travel across South Asia and to the US is required
  • Experience in organizing pre-departure events and product launches
  • Fluency in English
