Job Overview

The Recruitment Manager (RM) is responsible for executing a student recruitment strategy across India targeted at international students seeking a US university degree. This position will include account management of Shorelight’s country and regional network recruiters, schools and universities along with building and managing direct-to-student marketing campaigns that drive enrolments to Shorelight’s university partners.

This position is based in India and directly reports to the Regional Director, Recruitment, West and South India 

Essential Functions

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Manage key channel accounts and partnerships in India to achieve enrollment targets for all university partnerships
  • Contribute to, and execute on, Shorelight university partner’s student recruitment strategies
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends and reporting on all phases of recruitment process to the Regional Director, South Asia utilizing technology systems
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars,conferences, meetings and training events. Build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners and other external institutions and vendors
  • Execute an efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.) with strong focus on conversion of inquiries to applications to offers to enrolments
  • Work effectively with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry into the school-or program (working with Finance on incoming deposits, tracking of payments, processing of agent contracts and commissions as necessary, assisting with form completion, coordinating arrival transportation for new incoming students, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • 3+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry in India
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, strong drive for results, pressure-resilient
  • Proficiency with CRM technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a team-based customer service ethic
  • Willingness and ability to travel both throughout India and the USA as required
  • Experience in organizing pre-departure events and product launches
  • Eligibility to work in the hiring location without sponsorship

Shorelight Education is seeking to hire an Enrollment Counselor to execute an international student recruitment strategy for the INDIA market targeted at international students seeking a US university degree. Essential Functions

Student Lead Management

  • Contribute to the growth of the business and to new student enrollments by assessing potential applicants and determine if they are qualified to apply and enroll in various academic programs
  • Collaborate regularly with real-time feedback loops with INDIA digital marketing manager and recruitment team on digital campaigns, messaging, lead volume, and lead conversion activities
  • Use a consultative sales approach to guide and support prospective students through the enrollment process
  • Receive and follow-up on potential students via phone, email, and social media and where beneficial and feasible, in person
  • Build rapport and provide guidance for students interested in obtaining a degree or certificate program based on prospective student desired goals or career interest
  • Provide a positive and superior student experience
  • Consistently seek opportunity to drive student growth by referrals
  • Maintain a high-level knowledge of current programs, products, processes, and policies
  • Demonstrate expertise in the all steps of the admissions process

Conversion Activities

  • Drive new student enrollments from pipeline of student leads through conversion efforts
  • Execute on tailored conversion activities to drive conversion from sales qualified lead to application, application to confirmation, and confirmation to enrollment via multiple platforms to reach enrollment goals
  • Leverage available tools and develop new that move students through the conversion process including scholarships, student ambassador connections, webinars, testimonials, campus visits


Tracking and Reporting

  • Leverage Salesforce CRM for tracking of assigned students to track their status and progress toward enrollment
  • Create consistent and observable documentation in Salesforce and throughout the student cycle of student engagement, activities and processes;
  • Maintain and keep updated an ongoing student pipeline status dashboard to provide ongoing updates and reports to the team on the health of your student pipeline

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to sell high value, consumer services or products
  • Proficient in writing and speaking English
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Minimum Qualifications

The Director, Product Marketing (South Asia), develops and implements a comprehensive marketing strategy for the B2B channel that builds brand recognition of Shorelight’s university partners in South Asia. He or she drives interest and enrollments from students seeking educational experiences from leading U.S. universities, achieved primarily through B2B partnerships with education agencies and representatives. 

The Director, Product Marketing (South Asia), is a creative thinker with independent judgment who can develop high-quality and innovative marketing campaigns and initiatives through the B2B channel and integrated with all other channels where possible. Working with the Senior Regional Director, South Asia, and the Senior Director, Product Marketing, this person works cross-departmentally to execute specific country marketing objectives to support the achievement of enrollment targets. He or she builds and manages a South Asia–based, B2B marketing team to execute on-brand and strategically aligned product marketing campaigns and initiatives throughout South Asia.

This position works closely with Shorelight’s university partners, global marketing team (including direct marketing team in Delhi), and South Asia-based recruitment teams; it reports to the Senior Director, Product Marketing.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to drive student enrollments across undergraduate and graduate, and ancillary university programs for the South Asia market to support enrollment goals
  • Build high-level, strategic, and individualized strategies for each product throughout South Asia, through the B2B channel
  • Build and work with in-country direct marketing team to execute marketing campaigns across print, digital, social media, and third-party partnerships; B2B sales collateral creation; and student lead generation through SEO, SEM, and digital advertising
  • Grow university brands’ online and offline presence, and build multipart engagement campaigns to generate leads and improve conversion rates at all points of the funnel
  • Ensure all university sales materials are properly branded and localized, including translation (where applicable), accurate product information, and attention to cultural sensitivities to ensure high-quality, impactful sales collateral for the South Asia recruitment team and our partners
  • Ensure that ongoing training, support, and detailed product knowledge is being provided to internal and external recruitment providers and external marketing firms
  • Manage suite of third-party vendors for technical expertise and expansion of marketing capabilities.
  • Provide in-depth feedback loop, regional insights, and analytics to central leadership and program and university partner leadership
  • Brand the universities for international audiences and ensure that accurate information about programs, requirements, and admissions processes are communicated to potential applicants
  • Contribute and drive toward channel expansion goals, providing marketing insight and, where appropriate, execution

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • 8+ years’ strategic and tactical marketing experience, preferably within international education or higher education
  • Experience developing and implementing a high-level marketing plan and managing an annual budget in South Asia, preferably one marketing directly to consumers through an integrated online and offline campaign
  • Extensive experience managing a multi-functioning and integrated marketing team, B2B marketing, event planning, print collateral, and digital marketing campaigns

Reporting to the Director of Transnational Operations, the Regional Student Operations Manager supports the Shorelight Live program that offers hybrid master’s degree and certificate programs that combine the traditional, immersive U.S. university residential experience with technology-enabled, in-country, live-lecture learning. The Regional Student Operations Manager is a student services professional that is responsible for liaising with partner universities, launching new global study centers, and managing on-site program coordinators across multiple cities in India to ensure student success.

Reporting to the Senior/Admissions Manager, the Assistant Manager supports the Senior/ Admissions Manager in supervising and training a team of Admissions Officers responsible for the evaluation of academic records, rendering decisions, and processing of applications from a specific geographical region(s).  The Assistant Manager is also responsible for the evaluation and processing of applications assigned to them. 

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Essential Functions

Business Partnership

  • Develop in-depth understanding of the region to translate strategic and tactical business plans into talent-oriented plans
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR and recruitment strategies to support business initiatives and deliver results

Employee Relations

  • Work with managers and employees to coach, facilitate problem solving, and develop employee relations practices that contribute to and enhance workplace culture, fostering a positive environment
  • In conjunction with HQ-HR, provide counsel and ensure prompt resolution of all legal-related matters, ensuring that appropriate parties are consulted throughout the process
  • Provide support for all talent-related activities in the region, including in-country support when needed
  • Develop tools to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee relations issues
  • Collect and analyze internal and external data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience
  • Collaborate with local partners across the region to align and improve global HR policies and practices, ensuring compliance with local laws
