The Chartered Accountant contributes to accounting activities for Corporate accounting, under the direction of finance corporate leadership, helps lead the finance team in accurate reporting of financials. Essential Functions

Accounting

  • Prepare journal entries and associated balance sheet reconciliations for the monthly financial close, including those for cash, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll, payables, intercompany/consolidation, and all required accruals as examples
  • Provide support and oversight as it relates to team members supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Collaborate with Finance team on all financial aspects of assigned partnerships, including maintaining KPI’s on corporate expenditures and target operational metrics

Strategy and Data Management

  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc financial reporting for senior leadership
  • Assist management with monthly and quarterly financial reviews by documenting analysis explaining unusual adjustments and differences to budget

Compliance and Process Improvement

  • Assist with corporate audit readiness
  • Work with Finance, Analytics, and IT team members to identify ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of month end processes and assist in initiatives to implement the improvements for financial reporting
  • Supporting ongoing projects to improve NetSuite design and reporting capabilities
  • Support new rollout of Coupa software for expense procurement/payables/treasury and employee expenditure activity
  • Review, recommend, and implement best practices regarding accounting policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounting
  • Proven expertise using Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
  • Budget, month end, and accrual experience
  • Detail oriented, with exceptional organization and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Talent Acquisition Support

  • Source and identify qualified candidates for open positions through a variety of methods, such as third-party sourcing, Internet sourcing, internal posting responses, internal transfers, employee referrals, and employment advertisements
  • Screen CVs, conduct first-round interviews and selection, provide assessment reports, recommend qualified candidates to Human Resources Business Partner and hiring managers, arrange and schedule interviews at all levels, and conduct reference checks
  • Run various reports in the ATS as required
  • Communicate fully and professionally with candidates throughout the process on a consistent basis so that they remain aware of their status and clearly understand Shorelight’s hiring timeline and next steps in the process
  • Provide support for new employees during the onboarding process, answering questions and guiding them toward other resources

 

New Employee Onboarding

  • Create employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality
  • Coordinate HR aspects of new hire orientation including liaiseing with managers and arranging induction program schedule for new hires
  • Collect and process onboarding documentation to include all locally required onboarding documentation
  • Coordinate onboarding plan with the respective hiring manager, which consists of sending onboarding prep email, submitting IT onboarding ticket, and meeting with the manager to go over logistics
  • Send 30-day check-in surveys to new team members
  • Schedule 60- and 90-day check-ins between new team members and respective manager/HR Business Partner

 

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Manage contracts, including labor contract signing, renewal, and termination

Administrative and Logistic Support

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the regional offices including office rentals, and office maintenance where applicable

Job Overview

The Enrollment Services Advisor leads and executes our pre-arrival conversion activities for the Americas team. Based in India, the Enrollment Services Advisor works as part of a highly motivated professional team and is responsible for regional visa success and overall conversion and arrival of new students on campus.

 

This position works closely with recruiters, admissions and marketing/direct sales teams, and Shorelight’s partner campus teams to provide student-focused, optimal learning experiences and services that lead to student conversion. Measures of success for this role include the ability to drive conversion from deposit to enrollment, high rate of pre-payment, high rate of visa issuance, and on-time arrival to campuses. A large proportion of this sales and service role is speaking with applicants, parents and agents via online chat platform, email, telephone daily.  The position directly reports to the Enrollment Services Manager, Americas.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include: 

  • I-20 and Visa Preparation
    • Collaborate closely with admissions, agents and recruitment for all confirmed students to ensure efficient completion of required documents to achieve I-20s for students
    • Provide a comprehensive visa preparation service to students and agents including regular presentations to agencies, sharing of tips and best practices, and mock interviews with students to achieve high visa issuance rates
    • Track and analyze visa appointments, embassy processing times and student interview feedback to continuously enhance and adapt visa preparation according to current trends and insights
  • Pre-Departure Process and Activity Management
    • Design, manage and facilitate an engaging and informative pre-departure concierge service for students, parents and agencies
    • Participate with the planning and implementation of pre-departure events (online and offline)
    • Ensure student’s financial obligations are met by facilitating payments of tuition and other associated fees before departure, achieving 90% pre-payment
    • Ensure agents/students and their families complete and submit pre-arrival forms and documentation to campuses, with a focus on the transportation form so campus teams can effectively manage the arrival process
    • Work with recruitment, students and agencies to ensure clarity on-time arrival of students to campus for orientation
    • Serve as the main point of contact for all sub-regional agents and students in the pre-arrival phase
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Provide key partner’s VIP service, including customized reports, regular update of student progress, and in agent office visits
    • Analyze data in order to provide ongoing weekly updates, reports and forecasts to the ES Manager and Regional team for all students
    • Be the point of information and clarity on all conversion activities and student status
    • Maintain a database of respective sub-regional students to track their status and progression to enrollment
  • Stakeholder / Student Family Engagement and Management
    • Manage and maintain regional agent/student online enquiry platforms
    • Build a strong rapport with students, parents, channel partners, partner campus teams, admissions and any other key stakeholders

The Recruitment Manager (RM) is responsible for executing a student recruitment strategy across South India targeted at international students seeking a US university degree. Essential Functions

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Manage key channel accounts and partnerships in India to achieve enrollment targets for all university partnerships
  • Contribute to, and execute on, Shorelight university partner’s student recruitment strategies
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends and reporting on all phases of recruitment process to the Regional Director, South Asia utilizing technology systems
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings and training events. Build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners and other external institutions and vendors
  • Execute an efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.) with strong focus on conversion of inquiries to applications to offers to enrolments
  • Work effectively with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry into the school or program (working with Finance on incoming deposits, tracking of payments, processing of agent contracts and commissions as necessary, assisting with form completion, coordinating arrival transportation for new incoming students, etc.)

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area

  • Liaise with student services staff to gather student feedback, keep Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) updated and share student accomplishments with market-facing staff and recruiters

Administrative Support

  • Support the Academic and Student Services Directors by assisting with pre-arrival processes and documentation, including partner and student inquiries
  • Review and coordinate mail and documentation on a daily basis
  • Respond to e-mail and phone inquiries
  • Assist with webinars for future students
  • Process requests for information packets and prepare mailings to prospective students
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education, international education, or related field
  • 2+ years Admissions experience, including working knowledge of university admissions processes
  • Knowledge of international student services within a higher education setting
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate and accomplish work goals 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Ability to think independently, thoroughly, and critically in fast-paced contexts
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from local, national, and international constituencies
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent English verbal and writing skills and ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of cultures and linguistic backgrounds
  • Ability to foster collaboration and trust, work collegially, and inspire others to high levels of performance
  • Consistent and reliable access to internet 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with Banner and/or Salesforce
  • Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft software

  • Ability to take initiative, perform multiple assignments, and establish short- and long-term priorities
  • Ability to demonstrate sound business acumen and meet performance targets

Job Overview

The Enrollment Services Advisor leads and executes our pre-arrival conversion activities in the India region. Based in India, the Enrollment Services Advisor works as part of a highly motivated professional team and is responsible for regional visa success and overall conversion and arrival of new students on campus.

This position works closely with recruiters, admission and marketing/D2C teams, and Shorelight’s partner campus teams to provide student-focused, optimal learning experiences and services that lead to student conversion. Measures of success for this role include the ability to drive conversion from deposit to enrollment, high rate of pre-payment, high rate of visa issuance, and on-time arrival to campuses. A large proportion of this sales and service role is speaking with applicants, parents and agents via online chat platform, email, telephone daily. The position directly reports to the Enrollment Services Manager, India.

Key Responsibilities

I-20 and Visa Preparation

  • Collaborate closely with agents and admissions and recruitment teams for all confirmed students to ensure efficient completion of required documents to achieve I-20s for students
  • Provide a comprehensive visa preparation service to students and agents, including regular presentations to agencies, sharing of tips and best practices, and mock interviews with students to achieve a 95%+ visa issuance rate
  • Track and analyze visa appointments, embassy processing times, and student interview feedback to continuously enhance and adapt visa preparation according to current trends and insights

Pre-Departure Process and Activity Management

  • Design, manage, and facilitate an engaging and informative pre-departure concierge service for students, parents, and agencies
  • Participate with the planning and implementation of pre-departure events (online and offline)
  • Ensure students’ financial obligations are met by facilitating payments of tuition and other associated fees before departure
  • Ensure agents/students and their families complete and submit pre-arrival forms and documentation to campuses, with a focus on the transportation form, so campus teams can effectively manage the arrival process
  • Work with recruitment team, students, and agencies to ensure on-time arrival of students to campus for orientation
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all subregional agents and students in the pre-arrival phase

 Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Provide key partner’s VIP service, including customized reports, regular update of student progress, and in-agent office visits
  • Analyze data to provide ongoing weekly updates, reports, and forecasts to the Enrollment Services Manager and regional team for all students
  • Be the point of information and clarity on all conversion activities and student status
  • Maintain a database of respective subregional students to track their status and progression to enrollment

 Stakeholder/Student Family Engagement and Management

  • Manage and maintain regional agent/student online enquiry platforms
  • Build a strong rapport with students, parents, channel partners, partner campus teams, admissions, and any other key stakeholders
  • Maintain a database of assigned students to track their status and progress toward arrival
  • Act as key contact for the campus student services teams post-arrival to help communicate with channel partners/parents to assist with any follow-on activities post-enrollment (e.g., student attendance, performance)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency in writing and speaking English and Arabic
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent ability to motivate self and work effectively in a team environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively by meeting quality standards
  • Effective time management skills, sense of urgency, and ability to plan and prioritize daily activities
  • Strong consultative skills and demonstrated ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
