Job Overview

The Admissions Advisor assists with the admissions of international students for both Direct and International Accelerator Programs (IAP). Reporting to the Manager of Admissions, the Admissions Advisor possesses a high degree of self-direction, strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. He/she/they demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity toward students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Essential Functions

Admissions Data Management & Integrity

  • Receive applications and documents from students/agents
  • Review applications, transcripts, and other documents required for international student admissions and evaluate academic and English credentials to determine admissibility to University programs; render decisions on student’s admissibility
  • Advise agents/students/internal team members on admissions requirements; provide support to enable completion of application
  • Input and maintain data into Shorelight’s and Partner University’s CRM/EM systems
  • Review daily reports to manage workflow and ensure processing of applications and offers are meeting required deadlines
  • Collect and verify I-20/financial documents; liaise with University PDSO to issue I-20
  • Prepare acceptance packet mailings
  • Develop and run data reports for routine reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise with student services staff to gather student feedback, keep Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) updated and share student accomplishments with market-facing staff and recruiters
  • Other duties as assigned

Administrative Support

  • Support the Academic and Student Services Directors by assisting with pre-arrival processes and documentation, including partner and student inquiries
  • Review and coordinate mail and documentation on a daily basis
  • Respond to e-mail and phone inquiries
  • Assist with webinars for future students
  • Process requests for information packets and prepare mailings to prospective students
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education, international education, or related field
  • 2+ years Admissions experience, including working knowledge of university admissions processes
  • Knowledge of international student services within a higher education setting
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate and accomplish work goals 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Ability to think independently, thoroughly, and critically in fast-paced contexts
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from local, national, and international constituencies
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent English verbal and writing skills and ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of cultures and linguistic backgrounds
  • Ability to foster collaboration and trust, work collegially, and inspire others to high levels of performance
  • Consistent and reliable access to internet 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with Banner and/or Salesforce
  • Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft software
  • Strong working knowledge of one or more foreign languages
  • Ability to take initiative, perform multiple assignments, and establish short- and long-term priorities
  • Ability to demonstrate sound business acumen and meet performance targets

Job Overview

The Recruitment Manager (RM) is responsible for executing a student recruitment strategy across South India targeted at international students seeking a US university degree. This position will include account management of Shorelight’s country and regional network recruiters, schools and universities along with building and managing direct-to-student marketing campaigns that drive enrollments to Shorelight’s university partners.

This position is based in India (Hyderabad preferred) and directly reports to the Associate Director, Recruitment, South Asia.

Essential Functions

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Manage key channel accounts and partnerships in India to achieve enrollment targets for all university partnerships
  • Contribute to, and execute on, Shorelight university partner’s student recruitment strategies
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends and reporting on all phases of recruitment process to the Associate Director, Recruitment, South Asia utilizing technology systems
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings and training events. Build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners and other external institutions and vendors
  • Execute an efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.) with strong focus on conversion of inquiries to applications to offers to enrolments
  • Work effectively with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry into the school or program (working with Finance on incoming deposits, tracking of payments, processing of agent contracts and commissions as necessary, assisting with form completion, coordinating arrival transportation for new incoming students, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • 3+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry in India
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, strong drive for results, pressure-resilient
  • Proficiency with CRM technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a team-based customer service ethic
  • Willingness and ability to travel both throughout India and the USA as required
  • Experience in organizing pre-departure events and product launches
  • Eligibility to work in the hiring location without sponsorship 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Beneficial to have existing network and relationships within the education industry across India, strong working knowledge of key international markets, programs and products
  • Local language proficiency would be advantageous
  • Experience with Salesforce.com

Job Overview

The Program Coordinator supports Shorelight Live programs, which offer hybrid higher education programs that combine the traditional, immersive U.S. university experience with technology-enabled, in-country, live-lecture learning.  The position will facilitate live classes and provide student services through our technology platform as well as support offline activities to build a vibrant student community across various live lecture locations within the region. The role reports to the Director of Transnational Operations for Shorelight Live.

 

Essential Functions

  • Virtually audit live lecture sessions and provide assistance to students and faculty
  • Provide administrative, logistical, and technical support to students
  • Manage student success by actively monitoring student performance and using predictive metrics to provide student support
  • Coordinate with local operations team to provide technical support during live lectures
  • Coordinate and support team projects and off-site activities
  • Provide program feedback to local team, faculty, and corporate teams
  • Plan and execute student recruitment and corporate demonstrations to prospective students and partners
  • Plan and write engaging content for the program blog; collaborate with students, faculty, and program staff to develop strategies for content
  • Develop student community building initiatives and work on special projects as assigned by management
  • Participate in training as necessary
  • Provide other student services as needed

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Professional proficiency in English required (preferably IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 90+)
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of full-time work experience; experience in education industry preferred
  • Experience in writing content for websites and social media strongly preferred 
  • Energetic and motivated professional with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural professional environment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work late hours (1pm-9:00pm) during the work week on a regular basis
  • Eligibility to work in India without sponsorship
