Job Overview
The Desktop Support Specialist delivers direct, end-to-end technology support to Shorelight employees while providing excellent levels of service and support to the Shorelight community. This role is the first-line technical support contact for the global company.  He/She/They work closely with Human Resources to ensure that laptops and onboardings are provisioned, scheduled, and delivered with 100% accuracy.  The Desktop Support Specialist reports to the Technical Support Manager.
 
The Desktop Support Specialist is an analytical and logical problem solver with outstanding oral and written communication skills and a proven ability to present and address both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels of the organization.  He/She/They is a team player who has high-level customer service skills, adjusts quickly to shifting priorities and deadlines, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. 
 
Essential Functions Technical
  • Maintain and develop strong technical expertise in key technologies in use within Shorelight, which includes areas such as operating systems, browsers, voice and data networking, Zoom, Outlook email client, Office 365, Okta SSO, Ivanti Helpdesk, and the like
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues via phone, Web, and in-person channels
  • Contribute to Help Desk process documentation
  • Maintain familiarity with current and upcoming technology trends in mobile, desktop OS, etc.
  • Demonstrate initiative in recommending enhancements and improvements to the IT infrastructure
  • Help maintain a current inventory/asset system of all computer hardware and software
 
Support & Customer Service
  • Actively monitor onboarding pipeline and ticket queues, and ensure that all requests are handled in accordance with Shorelight’s service delivery standards
  • Research and identify Solutions to software and hardware issues
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Escalate tickets proactively to responsible senior team members or specialists
  • Demonstrate high degrees of skill and tact in the areas of teamwork and interpersonal relationships, including highly effective oral, written, and listening communication skills
  • Assume other duties as required
 
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in IT or a related field, with a strong background in operating systems, desktop support, security, networking, system administration and scripting, and other IT technology areas
  • Fluency in English is essential for this role, both written and spoken.  Candidates must be able to articulate ideas clearly and understand complex instructions.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 and Mac OSX operating systems as well as a broad suite of cloud-based and SAAS applications in a business environment
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • Additional certification in Microsoft, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus
  • Previous support or customer service experience or training

  • Deep understanding of MDM concepts, principles, and best practices.
  • Expertise in MDM tools and technologies, such as Informatica MDM or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

This goal of this position is to weave data-driven decision-making into the fabric of Shorelight’s everyday work. A key management role within our analytics team, you will be accountable for business intelligence reporting and data visualization products within the company. Job Overview

The Enrollment Services Advisor leads and executes our pre-arrival conversion activities in the India region.  Based in India, the Enrollment Services Advisor works as part of a highly motivated professional team and is responsible for regional visa success and overall conversion and arrival of new students on campus.

This position works closely with Recruitment, Admissions and Marketing/D2C teams, and Shorelight’s partner campus teams to provide student-focused, optimal learning experiences and services that lead to student conversion.  Measures of success for this role include the ability to drive conversion from deposit to enrollment, high rate of pre-payment, high rate of visa issuance, and on-time arrival to campuses. A large proportion of this sales and service role is speaking with applicants, parents and agents via online chat platform, email, telephone daily. The position directly reports to the Enrollment Services Manager, India.
 

Key Responsibilities 

  • I-20 and Visa Preparation
    • Collaborate closely with admissions, agents and recruitment for all confirmed students to ensure efficient completion of required documents to achieve I-20s for students
    • Provide a comprehensive visa preparation service to students and agents including regular presentations to agencies, sharing of tips and best practices, and mock interviews with students to achieve a 95%+ visa issuance rate
    • Track and analyze visa appointments, embassy processing times and student interview feedback to continuously enhance and adapt visa preparation according to current trends and insights
  • Pre-Departure Process and Activity Management
    • Design, manage and facilitate an engaging and informative pre-departure concierge service for students, parents and agencies
    • Participate with the planning and implementation of pre-departure events (online and offline)
    • Ensure student’s financial obligations are met by facilitating payments of tuition and other associated fees before departure
    • Ensure agents/students and their families complete and submit pre-arrival forms and documentation to campuses, with a focus on the transportation form so campus teams can effectively manage the arrival process
    • Work with recruitment, students and agencies to ensure clarity on-time arrival of students to campus for orientation
    • Serve as the main point of contact for all sub-regional agents and students in the pre-arrival phase
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Provide key partner’s VIP service, including customized reports, regular update of student progress, and in agent office visits
    • Analyze data in order to provide ongoing weekly updates, reports and forecasts to the ES Manager and Regional team for all students
    • Be the point of information and clarity on all conversion activities and student status
    • Maintain a database of respective sub-regional students to track their status and progression to enrollment
  • Stakeholder / Student Family Engagement and Management
    • Manage and maintain regional agent/student online enquiry platforms
    • Build a strong rapport with students, parents, channel partners, partner campus teams, admissions and any other key stakeholders
    • Maintain a database of assigned students to track their status and progress toward arrival
    • Act as key contact for the campus student services teams post arrival to help communicate with channel partners/parents to assist with any follow-on activities post enrollment (i.e. student attendance, performance etc.)  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Job Overview

The Admissions Advisor assists with the admissions of international students for both Direct and International Accelerator Programs (IAP). Working within the Global Admissions team, the Admissions Advisor possesses a high degree of self-direction, strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. He or she demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity toward students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Essential Functions

Admissions Data Management & Integrity

  • Receive applications and documents from students/agents
  • Review applications, transcripts, and other documents required for international student admissions and evaluate academic and English credentials to determine admissibility to University programs, render decisions on student’s admissibility
  • Advise agents/students/internal team members on admissions requirements; provide support to enable completion of application
  • Input and maintain data into Shorelight’s and Partner University’s CRM/EM systems
  • Review daily reports to manage workflow and ensure processing of applications and offers are meeting required deadlines
  • Collect and verify I-20/financial documents; liaise with University PDSO to issue I-20
  • Prepare acceptance packet mailings
  • Develop and run data reports for routine reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise with student services staff to gather student feedback, keep Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) updated and share student accomplishments with market-facing staff and recruiters
  • Other duties as assigned

Administrative Support

  • Support the Academic and Student Services Directors by assisting with pre-arrival processes and documentation, including partner and student inquiries
  • Review and coordinate mail and documentation daily
  • Respond to e-mail and phone inquiries
  • Assist with webinars for future students
  • Process requests for information packets and prepare mailings to prospective students
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education, international education, or related field
  • 2+ years Admissions experience, including working knowledge of university admissions processes
  • Knowledge of international student services within a higher education setting
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate and accomplish work goals 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Ability to think independently, thoroughly, and critically in fast-paced contexts
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from local, national, and international constituencies
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent English verbal and writing skills and ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of cultures and linguistic backgrounds
  • Ability to foster collaboration and trust, work collegially, and inspire others to high levels of performance

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with Banner and/or Salesforce
  • Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft software
  • Strong working knowledge of one or more foreign languages
  • Ability to take initiative, perform multiple assignments, and establish short- and long-term priorities
  • Ability to demonstrate sound business acumen and meet performance targets
