Job Overview  

The Enrollment Services Advisor leads and executes our pre-arrival conversion activities in the EMEA region (Africa, Europe, Middle East and Central Asia/CIS). Based in the region, the Enrollment Services Advisor works as part of a highly motivated professional team and is responsible for regional visa success and overall conversion and arrival of new students on campus.   

   

This position works closely with recruiters, admission and marketing/direct sales teams, and Shorelight’s partner campus teams to provide student-focused, optimal learning experiences and services that lead to student conversion. Measures of success for this role include the ability to drive conversion from deposit to enrollment, high rate of pre-payment, high rate of visa issuance, and on-time arrival to campuses. A large proportion of this sales and service role is speaking with applicants, parents and agents via online chat platform, email, telephone daily.  The position directly reports to the Enrollment Services Manager, EMEA.

  

Key Responsibilities  

   

The responsibilities of this position include:  

   

  • I-20 and Visa Preparation
    • Collaborate closely with admissions, agents and recruitment for all confirmed students to ensure efficient completion of required documents to achieve I-20s for students
    • Provide a comprehensive visa preparation service to students and agents including regular presentations to agencies, sharing of tips and best practices, and mock interviews with students to achieve high visa issuance rates
    • Track and analyze visa appointments, embassy processing times and student interview feedback to continuously enhance and adapt visa preparation according to current trends and insights

   

  • Pre-Departure Process and Activity Management
    • Design, manage and facilitate an engaging and informative pre-departure concierge service for students, parents and agencies
    • Participate with the planning and implementation of pre-departure events (online and offline)
    • Ensure student’s financial obligations are met by facilitating payments of tuition and other associated fees before departure, achieving 90% pre-payment
    • Ensure agents/students and their families complete and submit pre-arrival forms and documentation to campuses, with a focus on the transportation form so campus teams can effectively manage the arrival process
    • Work with recruitment, students and agencies to ensure clarity on-time arrival of students to campus for orientation
    • Serve as the main point of contact for all sub-regional agents and students in the pre-arrival phase

   

  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Provide key partner’s VIP service, including customized reports, regular update of student progress, and in agent office visits
    • Analyze data in order to provide ongoing weekly updates, reports and forecasts to the ES Manager and Regional team for all students
    • Be the point of information and clarity on all conversion activities and student status
    • Maintain a database of respective sub-regional students to track their status and progression to enrollment

   

  • Stakeholder / Student Family Engagement and Management
    • Manage and maintain regional agent/student online enquiry platforms
    • Build a strong rapport with students, parents, channel partners, partner campus teams, admissions and any other key stakeholders
    • Maintain a database of assigned students to track their status and progress toward arrival
    • Act as key contact for the campus student services teams post arrival to help communicate with channel partners/parents to assist with any follow-on activities post enrollment (i.e. student attendance, performance etc.)  

   

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Proficient in writing and speaking English
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively by meeting quality standards

Job Overview

The Career Services Advisor (CSA) supports and prepares students for participation in educational internships, postgraduate job searches, and other career goals.  The CSA will, at times, be expected to work remotely 60% of the time, work out of the assigned local campus 30% of the time, and additional travel to portfolio campuses 10% of the time.  He/She/They promote Shorelight Career Services programs, make on-site presentations, run training sessions, and teach career-readiness workshops for our international students.  This role reports to the Career Services Manager (CSM) and works closely with the campus leadership teams and university partners for assigned Shorelight partners.

The CSA is an energetic team player who is motivated by supporting students and preparing them to flourish in the workplace.  He/She/They has/have exceptional oral and written communication skills, solid creative-thinking abilities, and demonstrates professionalism, especially during presentations.  Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities as well as comfortability multitasking and adjusting quickly to shifting priorities is essential.  The CSA must be able to work in a diverse environment that requires cross-cultural awareness and understanding.

 

Essential Functions

Program Management

  • Support CSM to integrate all concepts and details for Shorelight Career Services into any new program and/or product launches
  • Promote marketplace Career Premium products
  • Assist students in navigating the career development, planning, and implementation process by leading students through the Shorelight Career Services Programs
  • Design, present, and/or coordinate career preparation and professional development curriculum, workshops, and classroom presentations for assigned Shorelight partners
  • Assist students with preparation for participation in educational internships, postgraduate job searches, and other career goals
  • Utilize discretion and judgment while working with confidential and sensitive student information during the career orientation, program adoption, and career coaching process
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team in the development of collateral to promote the Career Services Programs to existing and potential students

Job Overview

The Enrollment Management Coordinator, provides support to the admissions and enrollment of student at Shorelight Partner campuses. 

 

Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management,  the Enrollment Management Coordinator, is an energetic, detail-oriented individual who manages all admissions processing, as well as supports marketing, and international student services.   This position requires a self-directed individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.  

The successful candidate is a strategic thinker who collaborates with internal staff to identify business needs, define admissions requirements, and enhance business and systems workflows to support the enrollment management for a diverse product portfolio.   He/she possesses the interpersonal and intercultural skills necessary to work closely with students, parents, program staff, and university administration. He/she will be based remotely.

  

Essential Functions

  • Liaise with critical university personnel, including but not limited to Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions Directors, Primary Designated School Official, and other admissions staff
  • Support partnership relationships with key stakeholders in the enrollment process across the university
  • Develop and oversee enrollment management reports to track application and I-20 processing turnaround times and escalate issues to the appropriate parties as necessary
  • Assist in internal and external application data and document processing, including transfer to/from university systems
  • Coordinate I-20 process with staff
  • Assume primary responsibility for handling all inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Managing Director and student services on pre-arrival activities

The Admissions Advisor assists with the admissions of international students for both Direct and International Accelerator Programs (IAP). Essential Functions

Admissions Data Management & Integrity

  • Receive applications and documents from students/agents
  • Review applications, transcripts, and other documents required for international student admissions and evaluate academic and English credentials to determine admissibility to University programs; render decisions on student’s admissibility
  • Advise agents/students/internal team members on admissions requirements; provide support to enable completion of application
  • Input and maintain data into Shorelight’s and Partner University’s CRM/EM systems
  • Review daily reports to manage workflow and ensure processing of applications and offers are meeting required deadlines
  • Collect and verify I-20/financial documents; liaise with University PDSO to issue I-20
  • Prepare acceptance packet mailings
  • Develop and run data reports for routine reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise with student services staff to gather student feedback, keep Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) updated and share student accomplishments with market-facing staff and recruiters
  • Other duties as assigned

Administrative Support

  • Support the Academic and Student Services Directors by assisting with pre-arrival processes and documentation, including partner and student inquiries
  • Review and coordinate mail and documentation on a daily basis
  • Respond to e-mail and phone inquiries
  • Assist with webinars for future students
  • Process requests for information packets and prepare mailings to prospective students
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education, international education, or related field
  • 2+ years Admissions experience, including working knowledge of university admissions processes
  • Knowledge of international student services within a higher education setting
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate and accomplish work goals 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects in a timely manner

Essential Functions

Accounting

  • Prepare journal entries and associated balance sheet reconciliations for the monthly financial close, including those for cash, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll, payables, intercompany/consolidation, and all required accruals as examples
  • Provide support and oversight as it relates to team members supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Collaborate with Finance team on all financial aspects of assigned partnerships, including maintaining KPI’s on corporate expenditures and target operational metrics

Strategy and Data Management

  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc financial reporting for senior leadership
  • Assist management with monthly and quarterly financial reviews by documenting analysis explaining unusual adjustments and differences to budget

Compliance and Process Improvement

  • Assist with corporate audit readiness
  • Work with Finance, Analytics, and IT team members to identify ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of month end processes and assist in initiatives to implement the improvements for financial reporting

Meeting this goal includes developing new or expanding on existing partnerships with high schools, language schools, agencies, sponsors, and other university feeder programs along with contributing to marketing and conversion campaigns that drive enrollments to Shorelight’s university partners (https://partners.shorelight.com/). The individual in this position also takes an active role in training, developing, and managing Shorelight’s key accounts in the region, inclusive of marketing initiatives to raise the profile of our university partners

Essential Functions

  • Design and execute market-specific student recruitment strategies that focus on developing and managing a network of high schools, agencies, and other feeder networks
  • Build, source and manage key accounts to achieve enrollment targets for all university partnerships
  • Establish rapport and build strong relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, partners, and other external institutions and vendors
  • Leverage technology to support a data-driven approach to recruitment
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness and market intelligence
  • Work effectively across Shorelight teams to ensure smooth entry into the school or program, such as working with Admissions on student assessment, Marketing on campaigns, and Enrollment Services on immigration and arrival
  • Travel within territory with occasional cross regional travel, attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, and training events to assist key accounts and student pipeline management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • 3–5 years of experience in a successful sales role
  • Must be highly motivated, creative and flexible.
  • Demonstrated success managing a full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing
  • A proven track record of achieving measurable results in a fast-paced, data and deadline-driven department
  • Expertise in utilizing creative problem-solving skills to overcome any obstacles while guiding potential students through the university admissions process 
  • Adept at working collaboratively with remote teams
  • Strategic-minded and self-motivated, with a strong drive for results
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Proficiency with relevant technologies, such as CRMs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a customer service ethic within the work team
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing network and relationships within the  U.S. education industry, with a strong working knowledge of key regional markets, programs and products, and U.S. higher education
  • Salesforce experience desirable
  • Bi-lingual speaker preferable (Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Vietnamese)
