Job Overview

The Program Coordinator supports Shorelight Live programs, which offer hybrid higher education programs that combine the traditional, immersive U.S. university experience with technology-enabled, in-country, live-lecture learning. The position will facilitate live classes and provide student services through our technology platform as well as support offline activities to build a vibrant student community across various live lecture locations within the region.

The role reports to the manager of student services and operations for Shorelight Live.

 

Responsibilities

        Virtually audit live lecture sessions and provide assistance to students and faculty

        Provide administrative, logistical, and technical support to students

        Manage student success by actively monitoring student performance and using predictive metrics to provide student support

        Coordinate with local operations team to provide technical support during live lectures

        Coordinate and support team projects and off-site activities

        Provide program feedback to local team, faculty, and corporate teams

        Plan and write engaging content for the program blog; collaborate with students, faculty, and program staff to develop strategies for content

        Develop student community building initiatives and work on special projects as assigned by management

        Participate in training as necessary

        Provide other student services as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and professional proficiency in English required (preferably IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 90+)
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of full-time work experience; experience in education industry preferred
  • Experience in writing content for websites and social media strongly preferred 
  • Energetic and motivated professional with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural professional environment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work late hours (3pm-11:00pm) during the work week on a regular basis
  • Eligibility to work in China without sponsorship

The Channel Marketing Coordinator is an integral part of the marketing team assisting the Channel Marketing Manager in marketing products through managing e-mail and social media campaigns, maintaining promotional materials inventory.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Support Channel Marketing Manager to collaborate with Shorelight’s marketing and student recruitment teams in the development of localized marketing plans, materials, and tools to drive enrollment to all brands
  • Localize the collateral that reflect each university’s brand including writing copy, producing print banners, and localize training documents, and videos to educate parents, students, feeder schools and agents about programs
  • Ensure all channel marketing materials are properly customized and localized including translation, attention to cultural sensitivities.
  • Support with localized channel collateral planning, quality control, and production
  • Upload and maintain China localized materials folders in Sharepoint and the agent portal
  • Utilize third party vendors for technical expertise and manage these relationships
  • Support with China print and channel network distribution.
  • Coordinate internal team to organize conferences, events, or tradeshows
  • Ensure sufficient marketing materials and promotional items are in stock and manage shipping to various corporate and channel partner events and conferences internationally
  • Support and cooperate with Recruitment team to planning, designing, preparing the materials before important/key activities, seminars, agent re-treats, annual meeting, etc., and follow up the whole process.
  • Support annual gifts plan

 

Qualifications

  • Related background in Business, Marketing, Media, PR.
  • 2-3 years’ tactical marketing experience preferably within international education or higher education
  • Able to manage projects and move them forward in a timely manner toward completion despite obstacles and challenges
  • Strong fact checking abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent project management skills including setting priorities and anticipating needs

Shorelight Education is seeking to hire a Recruitment Manager (RM) to lead a student recruitment strategy across China targeted at students seeking a US post-graduate university degree or graduate or professional certificate program.  The students will be enrolling to take all or part of their degree/program at a Shorelight LIVE Global Study Center (GSC) located at one of a number of leading Chinese universities (eg Shanghai Jiao Tong University) or professional training institutions (eg New Oriental).  The Recruitment Manager will report directly to the Senior Regional Director, Greater China.  The person will maximize student tuition revenue through account management of Shorelight’s country and regional network recruiters (Agents), universities, GCS host partners, along with building and managing direct-to-student marketing campaigns that drive enrollments to Shorelight LIVE Global Study Center run programs.

 

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include:

 

  • In collaboration with China Recruitment Managers, manage key channel accounts (especially the host partners of the Global Study Centers) and partnerships in China to achieve enrollment targets for Shorelight LIVE programs (eg University of Massachusetts master’s degree programs)
  • Contribute to, and execute on, Shorelight LIVE university partner’s student recruitment strategies
  • Organizing mock-classroom demos over the LIVE platform for channel partners and US content partners

Key Responsibilities

Student Lead Management

Shorelight Education is seeking to hire a Product Sales Manager to execute a student recruitment strategy across China targeted at international students seeking a US university degree.  The Product Sales position, reporting directly to the Senior Recruitment Manager, National Partners and Products China, will work across all channels to maximize the recruitment efforts in the China for a specific set of Shorelight partner universities.  The Product Sales role is a combination of sales and marketing and will work closely with Shorelight’s in market recruitment teams and partners as well as Shorelight’s marketing and campus based teams. The product sales role will be approximately 80% sales/product management and 20% marketing.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include:

 

  • Work across all channels within China to achieve specific targets for a specific set of products
  • Contribute to, and execute on, Shorelight university partner’s broader student recruitment strategies
  • Develop and execute a product specific recruitment plan across China in conjunction with Shorelight regional recruitment and campus teams
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends and reporting on all phases of recruitment process to the regional director and campus managing directors and product management team

Reporting to the Senior Director of Transnational Operations, the Regional Student Operations Manager supports the Shorelight Live program that offers hybrid master’s degree programs that combine the traditional, immersive U.S. university residential experience with technology-enabled, in-country, live-lecture learning. The Regional Student Operations Manager is a bilingual (Mandarin Chinese and English) student services professional that is responsible for liaising with partner universities, launching new global study centers, and managing on-site program coordinators across multiple cities in mainland China to ensure student success.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish and manage professional relationships with Chinese universities and corporate partners
  • Work with academic, student services, and technical delivery teams to implement new programs
  • Oversee the launch and operations of new global study centers
