Job Overview

The Admissions Advisor assists with the admissions of international students for both Direct and International Accelerator Programs (IAP). Essential Functions

Admissions Data Management & Integrity

  • Receive applications and documents from students/agents
  • Review applications, transcripts, and other documents required for international student admissions and evaluate academic and English credentials to determine admissibility to University programs; render decisions on student’s admissibility
  • Advise agents/students/internal team members on admissions requirements; provide support to enable completion of application
  • Input and maintain data into Shorelight’s and Partner University’s CRM/EM systems
  • Review daily reports to manage workflow and ensure processing of applications and offers are meeting required deadlines
  • Collect and verify I-20/financial documents; liaise with University PDSO to issue I-20
  • Prepare acceptance packet mailings
  • Develop and run data reports for routine reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise with student services staff to gather student feedback, keep Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) updated and share student accomplishments with market-facing staff and recruiters

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education, international education, or related field
  • 2+ years Admissions experience, including working knowledge of university admissions processes

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate and accomplish work goals

Job Overview

The Enrollment Services Advisor leads and executes our pre-arrival conversion activities in the Pakistan and Bangladesh region. Based in Pakistan, the Enrollment Services Advisor works as part of a highly motivated professional team and is responsible for regional visa success and overall conversion and arrival of new students on campus.

This position works closely with recruiters, admission and marketing/D2C teams, and Shorelight’s partner campus teams to provide student-focused, optimal learning experiences and services that lead to student conversion. Measures of success for this role include the ability to drive conversion from deposit to enrollment, high rate of pre-payment, high rate of visa issuance, and on-time arrival to campuses. A large proportion of this sales and service role is speaking with applicants, parents and agents via online chat platform, email, telephone daily. The position directly reports to the Enrollment Services Manager, Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

I-20 and Visa Preparation

  • Collaborate closely with agents and admissions and recruitment teams for all confirmed students to ensure efficient completion of required documents to achieve I-20s for students
  • Provide a comprehensive visa preparation service to students and agents, including regular presentations to agencies, sharing of tips and best practices, and mock interviews with students to achieve a 95%+ visa issuance rate
  • Track and analyze visa appointments, embassy processing times, and student interview feedback to continuously enhance and adapt visa preparation according to current trends and insights

Pre-Departure Process and Activity Management

  • Design, manage, and facilitate an engaging and informative pre-departure concierge service for students, parents, and agencies
  • Participate with the planning and implementation of pre-departure events (online and offline)
  • Ensure students’ financial obligations are met by facilitating payments of tuition and other associated fees before departure
  • Ensure agents/students and their families complete and submit pre-arrival forms and documentation to campuses, with a focus on the transportation form, so campus teams can effectively manage the arrival process
  • Work with recruitment team, students, and agencies to ensure on-time arrival of students to campus for orientation
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all subregional agents and students in the pre-arrival phase

 Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Provide key partner’s VIP service, including customized reports, regular update of student progress, and in-agent office visits
  • Analyze data to provide ongoing weekly updates, reports, and forecasts to the Enrollment Services Manager and regional team for all students
  • Be the point of information and clarity on all conversion activities and student status
  • Maintain a database of respective subregional students to track their status and progression to enrollment

 Stakeholder/Student Family Engagement and Management

  • Manage and maintain regional agent/student online enquiry platforms
  • Build a strong rapport with students, parents, channel partners, partner campus teams, admissions, and any other key stakeholders
  • Maintain a database of assigned students to track their status and progress toward arrival
  • Act as key contact for the campus student services teams post-arrival to help communicate with channel partners/parents to assist with any follow-on activities post-enrollment (e.g., student attendance, performance)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency in writing and speaking English and Arabic
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent ability to motivate self and work effectively in a team environment

Job Overview

The Assistant Director of Global Admissions, Regional Partner Operations (“Assistant Director of Global Admissions”) manages and supports a team of international admissions advisors responsible for the processing of applications for our partner universities and supporting our students/channel partners throughout the admissions cycle.  Reporting to the Director of Admissions, Regional Partner Operations, he/she/they is responsible for meeting service delivery requirements, including turnaround times, throughout the admissions cycle and across the partnerships assigned.  This includes monitoring application volume, managing production during peak times in the enrollment cycle, and reporting of application and enrollment data. The Assistant Director of Global Admissions also works with the HQ Admissions Operations and Implementation teams when new partners or products are added within the assigned portfolio, and oversees the training of their team members.  This position will also work with the Assistant Director of Campus Admissions, Regional Partner Operations and the Director of Admissions, Regional Partner Operations to optimize workflow and create operational efficiencies in an effort to increase turnaround times and conversion. The Assistant Director of Global Admissions will also work with Regional Recruitment Teams to manage escalations related to student applications/admissibility, facilitate admissions training webinars, and support regional-specific initiatives that support enrollment goals. 

The Assistant Director of Global Admissions must be a dynamic, self-directed and mature individual who can effectively motivate and manage an admissions team, measure productivity and performance, manage the application processing of new product/partner launches, and recommend and implement workflow changes to improve overall production capacity.

Essential Functions:

Admissions Operations

  • Support admissions team with credential evaluation and processing student applications during peak periods or when needed to maintain 48-72 application evaluation turnaround times.
  • Maintain and report admissions team metrics on weekly and monthly basis, informing Admissions Leadership Team of any issues that may impact meeting and exceeding the performance targets.
  • Provide timely updates to academic and admissions requirements database, policies, and procedures relative to student access.
  • Maintain University Hub Admissions Spark pages and G documents.
  • Ensure quality support for applicants through the application life cycle.

Data and Technology

  • Partner with Admissions team members to identify and improve systems and workflow at Shorelight and with partner institutions.
  • Drive reporting on all Admissions KPIs to inform strategy and meet expected service levels.
  • Partner with Director of Admissions, Regional Partner Operations on forecasting.

People Management

  • Recruit, develop, and retain team members to ensure productivity and engagement for admissions advisors within the team.
  • Engage in talent management activities such as goal setting, performance evaluations, stay interviews, development planning, and ongoing feedback to develop team members and achieve organization goals including the production and productivity of the admissions process.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and corrective action (when necessary) to team members.
  • Foster a culture that reflects Shorelight’s values.

Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with global regional teams to support overall application processing and redistribute workload as needed
  • Collaborate with HQ Admissions Operations Lead to provide new and remedial training to team
  • Work with the HQ Implementation and Admissions Operations Teams on implementing new Partner, programs, and products
  • Collaborate with Student Acquisition teams to support Regional initiatives or resolve application issues

Job Overview

The Director of Admissions, Regional Partner Operations manages the end to end enrollment process for an assigned portfolio of partnerships.  He/she/they serves as a strategic leader in international student enrollment and supports the Managing Directors of assigned partnerships in optimizing the admissions process to open access for qualified international students to meet enrollment goals.  The Director of Admissions, Regional Partner Operations must be a self-directed individual with a demonstrated history of effective leadership.  He/she/they must show excellence in problem solving, oral and written communication, and a strong attention to detail. This position reports to the Senior Director of Global Admissions, Partner Operations at Shorelight and works closely with key stakeholders across campus as well as Shorelight acquisition leadership around the world.

Essential Functions

Management of Admissions Operations

  • Serve as primary advocate for Shorelight’s mission by working with field experts to improve and execute on core values of the Shorelight admissions team
  • In concert with university admissions and Shorelight admissions staff, coordinate all aspects of the application flow for assigned portfolio with a keen eye to streamlining process and opening access to qualified students
  • Monitor and uphold service agreements (turnaround time) for all applicant profiles, including graduate, sponsored, and I-20 transfer students
  • Ensure consistent quality of applications being delivered to university audience, including regular tracking, forecast, and analysis
  • Partner with admissions staff to oversee new application case escalation to the appropriate academic or faculty personnel
  • Support new program development, including admissions criteria, processes, and implementation
  • Lead bi-annual evaluation of Localized Entry Requirements (LERs), acceptable credentials, and application throughput with the goal of optimizing existing processes and supporting enrollment growth and partnership goals
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Senior Director of Global Admissions, Partner Operations

Program Promotion

  • Support multi-brand strategy and execution within the Shorelight portfolio to drive enrollment growth
  • Work closely with acquisition leadership to support conversion activity throughout the student lifecycle for assigned portfolio
  • Lead trainings on program offerings and USPs
  • Serve as domain expert on program requirements and credential evaluation

Relationship Management

  • Serve as primary relationship manager of critical university personnel, including but not limited to Vice President of Enrollment Management, Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions Directors/Assistant Deans, Primary Designated School Official, and support partnership relationships with other key stakeholders in the enrollment process across the university
  • Chair the Marketing Enrollment Services Committee (MESC), maintain a regular cadence of MESC meetings at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and communicate updates to the partnership Steering Committee and the wider Shorelight audience
  • Work closely with Shorelight stakeholders to ensure alignment of the university brand with Shorelight’s global strategies
  • Work closely with Shorelight student acquisition leadership; always looking to improve effectiveness of field communications.
  • Partner with Shorelight stakeholders to drive system efficiencies and process optimization with a goal of creating access and supporting student success.

Data and Technology

  • Work with university IT and engineering personnel to improve systems integration
  • Regularly review market data and insights to inform strategic direction & enrollment growth for assigned partnerships
  • Partner with Managing Directors to analyze enrollment funnel and support enrollment projections
  • Support annual LER review to drive strategic enrollment opportunities

People Management

Job Overview

Reporting to the Regional Admissions Manager, the Admissions Officer processes students’ academic records, enters student application data into Shorelight’s CRM, and interfaces with agents, students and university partners.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Shorelight access mission by reviewing all programs’ admissions requirements to determine opportunities for a student’s admissibility;
  • Assessment of regional student academic credentials and rendering decisions for admission to Shorelight’s partner University programs
  • Review of partner admissions requirements to determine student’s admissibility
  • Monitor and maintain applicant status in Shorelight’s CRM system throughout the applicant lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Recruitment, Enrollment Services and Campus Admissions to support student during admissions process
  • Assist with other aspects of the application process as needed by the admissions team

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree in higher education, international education, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience with database software and/or previous international education and admissions experience preferred
  • Fluent written and verbal English language skills
  • Knowledge of international credentials
  • Knowledge of international student services within a higher education setting
  • Exemplary customer service, presentation, and public speaking skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity toward students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative, perform multiple assignments, and complete projects in a timely manner
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs and databases
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate and accomplish work goals

Job Overview

The Admissions Officer assists with the admissions of international students for both Direct and  International Accelerator Programs (IAP). Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Officer possesses a high degree of self-direction, strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. He or she demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity toward students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Essential Functions

Admissions Data Management & Integrity

  • Process applications and documents for ACL-only (non-Shorelight Partner intenders) and forward them via integration
  • Assist in reviewing applications, transcripts, and other documents required for international student admissions
  • Review daily reports to manage and maintain the processing of applications and offers are meeting required deadlines
  • Coordinate I-20 process with partner university admissions staff
  • Issuance of AC Live SOF for confirmed students; confirm Acceptance for ACL students
  • Prepare acceptance packet mailings
  • Develop and run data reports for routine reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise with student services staff to gather student feedback, keep Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) updated and share student accomplishments with market-facing staff and recruiters
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Administrative Support

  • Support the Academic and Student Services Directors by assisting with pre-arrival processes and documentation, including partner and student inquiries
  • Review and coordinate mail and documentation on a daily basis
  • Respond to e-mail and phone inquiries
  • Assist with webinars for future students
  • Process requests for information packets and prepare mailings to prospective students
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education, international education, or related field
  • 1+ years Admissions experience, including working knowledge of university admissions processes
  • Knowledge of international student services within a higher education setting
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate and accomplish work goals 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Eligibility to work in and travel freely to and from the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with Banner and/or Salesforce
  • Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft software
  • Strong working knowledge of one or more foreign languages
  • Ability to take initiative, perform multiple assignments, and establish short- and long-term priorities
  • Ability to demonstrate sound business acumen and meet performance targets
