Job Overview

The Student Accounts Specialist manages student accounts for all partnerships. The role acts as a point of contact for all students’ account inquiries.  He or she is fiscally responsible and looks for opportunities to improve operational practice to align with financial goals. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Student Accounts Specialist is a strategic thinker and problem solver with strong attention to detail and a proven customer service approach to working with others.

Essential Functions

  • Process student payments into Salesforce and prepare journal entries for cash in Netsuite
  • Assist campus team with ensuring student financial accounts are accurate in both SalesForce and in NetSuite
  • Work closely with the Campus Teams along with the Director of Sponsor Relations to ensure accurate invoicing of sponsors as well as monitor and analyze Accounts Receivable
  • Review refund requests to ensure student is eligible and refund is within policy
  • Work with AP on payments and timing of refunds and payments transaction
  • Work with Accounting Manager to provide refund analysis to Executive Team on a quarterly basis
  • Support accounting team with providing excellent customer service to Campus Operations, Enrollment Services, and Recruitment teams through consistent, courteous, and timely communication regarding account/payment status, inquiries, refund requests, and disputes
  • Assist with corporate audit readiness and other projects as assigned
  • Help to improve internal processes, systems, and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field
  • Proven expertise using Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
  • Detail oriented, with exceptional organization and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the company
  • Customer service focused, with demonstrated ability to communicate courteously and timely

The Senior Sales Commissions Analyst analyzes, processes and manages commission and bonus payments to global channel partners and recruitment team staff members. Reporting to the VP, FP&A, he or she ensures transactional accuracy and enhances efficiency of the entire commission payment process.  The Senior Sales Commissions Analyst requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills. 

Essential Functions

Commissions & Bonus

  • Partner with our FP&A, accounting, and global sales operations team to calculate and prepare both internal and external commissions and incentive payments
  • Assist with the reconciliation of commission related general ledger accounts and the balancing of all commission related payroll interface activity
  • Provide data points and partner with Finance/Accounting team to ensure the appropriate accruals for sales commission are booked
  • Liaise between sales and business owners to troubleshoot any commission related questions and provide third-party auditor support as required
  • Partner with Human Resources & hiring managers in the creation of new commissions plans and annual commissions plans updates
  • Analyze and report on commissions earned in relation to key operating metrics (sales, gross profit, budget v. actual)

Reporting & Data Management

  • Prepare and distribute monthly reporting for upper management
  • Continuously work to develop a process for more efficiently calculating, recording, and reporting of sales compensation
  • Develop commissions reports, analyze information, and enter data from transactions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics
  • 2+ years’ experience in an analytical or a finance-oriented role, preferably commissions related
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to summarize and present data effectively
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Customer service focused; strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead projects and drive them to completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com, NetSuite, and Smartsheet

Job Overview

The Accounts Payable (AP) Team Lead verifies and reconciles a variety of AP transactions, coordinates with staff accountants on accounts payable-related month end tasks, and mentors and supports the AP team by reviewing work prepared by the team.  He or she will work in conjunction with several departments across the organization to ensure compliance with policy and budget.

This role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and must show excellence in problem solving, oral and written communication, and a strong attention to detail. The ability to envision and implement continual process improvement and high-level customer service skills are essential. 

Essential Functions

Accounts Payable

  • Review coding of invoices for compliance with policy and budget for both invoices and expense reports
  • Confirm approvals for international payables with international accounting teams
  • Run NetSuite tasks to prepare journal entries for the monthly financial close, including accounts payable accruals, pre-paid amortization, and tracking and depreciation of fixed assets
  • Assist corporate staff accountant with research and resolution for the corporate cash accounts used for payable transactions
  • Monitor and maintain the outstanding checks
  • Assist department leaders with implementation of an Automated Clearing House (ACH) / National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) file process out of NetSuite for upload to the bank

Process Management

  • Create training manuals and work with Financial Planning & Analysis team on training organization on proper coding for all payables
  • Help to improve internal processes, systems, and procedures
  • Assist with corporate audit readiness

Vendor Relations

  • Monitor and review all domestic vendor transactions in AvidXchange for compliance with levels of authorization prior to syncing with the financial software, NetSuite
  • Review all new vendor requests for completeness
  • Screen all vendors through third party software for TIN matching before sending them to corporate staff accountants for new vendor setup
  • Uphold professionalism in service to vendors and internal customers
  • Move all vendors from check payment and to ACH/EFT and maintain ACH files for the bank

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or business-related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts payable
  • Experience working with financial software such as AvidXchange and NetSuite
  • Proven skills utilizing Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
  • Experience mentoring staff in accounts payable environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and manage multiple priorities

The Senior Accountant of Financial Operations and Reporting will assist with operational needs including financial consolidation, general ledger reporting, international accounting and various month end close activities. Additionally, the Senior Accountant of Financial Operations and Reporting will help coordinate work performed by third party service providers including the financial audit and annual tax preparation. This role is a strategic thinker and problem solver with strong attention to detail and a proven team approach to working with others. The ideal candidate has a public accounting background who is looking for a role that touches all facets of the accounting and finance function and a role that is conducive to continued fast paced professional development. The role will report to the Director of Technical Accounting and will also regularly interact with the Chief Accounting officer.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare monthly accounting support for complex accounting areas such as stock-based compensation and revenue estimates
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting for management review
  • Assist the Director of Technical Accounting with the preparation of annual financial statements and researching/implementing new technical accounting needs
  • Coordinate work performed by third party service providers including the financial statement audit, tax preparation, and valuation work
  • Help to improve internal control processes and procedures
  • Other special projects related to improving financial operations and performance 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

The Payroll Specialist assists the Payroll Supervisor in processing payroll and performs all related general ledger accounting activities related to payroll. He or she partners with Human Resources to ensure best practices are utilized and data accuracy is maintained.

Essential Functions

  • Work with the Payroll Supervisor to process the US payroll for hourly, salaried, and temporary employees, including reviewing and importing hours from time and attendance system within the payroll system (Paylocity) and recording all associated transactions in the company’s general ledger accounting system (Netsuite)
  • Work with the international payroll providers to process monthly international payrolls
  • Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with human resources team to improve payroll and HRIS processes
  • Produce scheduled and ad hoc reports pertaining to payroll and general ledger activities
  • Create and process journal entries for invoices from the benefit service providers and report any discrepancies to Human Resources
  • Assist in maintaining data integrity in the system by running queries, analyzing data, and reviewing source documents for accuracy and completion of data input
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3+ years of experience processing payroll and performing all associated general ledger accounting activities
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including payroll, benefits, and time/attendance
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Adaptability and flexibility, with demonstrated positive, problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
