Job Overview

The Assistant Recruitment Manager, Student Recruitment, assists in executing a student recruitment strategy across Rest of East Asia (focus on Indonesia, Singapore) that targets international students seeking U.S. university degrees. The role includes account management of Shorelight’s regional network of recruiters, schools, and universities, along with building and managing direct-to-student marketing campaigns that drive enrollments to Shorelight’s university partners. This role is based in Indonesia, reporting to Regional Director, Rest of East Asia.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Shorelight’s university partners’ student recruitment strategies, partnering with the Recruitment Manager, REA as well as Shorelight’s Marketing Team for all marketing and advertising strategies and collateral
  • Help manage key channel accounts and partnerships to achieve enrollment targets for all university partnerships
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends, and reporting on all phases of recruitment process to the Recruitment Manager, Rest of East Asia, using technology systems
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, and training events to build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners, and other external institutions and vendors
  • Execute efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.) with a strong focus on conversion of inquiries to applications
  • Work effectively with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry into the school or program (working with finance offices on incoming deposits, tracking of payments, processing of agent contracts and commissions, as necessary; assisting incoming students with form completion; coordinating arrival transportation for new, incoming students; etc.)

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • 3+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry in Indonesia
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, with strong drive for results, and pressure-resilient
  • Proficient with technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a customer service ethic within the team
  • Willingness to travel

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing network and relationships within the education industry in Indonesia

Job Overview
The Product Sales Manager is responsible for executing a student recruitment strategy across South Asia targeted at international students seeking a US university degree. This position will work across all channels to maximize the recruitment efforts in the South Asia for a specific set of Shorelight partner universities. Essential Functions
The responsibilities of this position include:
  • Work across all channels within South Asia to achieve specific targets for a specific set of products

  • Develop and execute a product specific recruitment plan across South Asia in conjunction with Shorelight regional recruitment and campus teams

  • Delivering counsellor training to Shorelight partners in the region as needed
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, exhibitions and training events. Build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners and other external institutions and vendors
  • Work closely with regional recruitment teams and US based product/campus teams to execute new product launches in market
  • Accountable for providing firsthand feedback to the US based product/campus teams on market conditions, recruitment activities, marketing campaigns and suggestions for further product optimization
  • Execute an efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.) with strong focus on conversion of inquiries to applications to offers to enrollments
  •  Work effectively with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry into the school or program
  • Work closely with campus teams to ensure student feedback, testimonials and future alumni events are in place
  • Work with relevant campus teams on FAM trips involving partners from South Asia
  • Manage the student ambassador programs for current students to return to their home country during breaks and attend events focused on prospective students or parents
  • Assist regional recruitment teams in organizing and delivering pre-departure events
 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry

Job Overview
The Regional Manager executes a student recruitment strategy across key onshore territories that

Job Overview
 
This position is a short-term contract position (initially 6 months) seeking proof of concept and ROI for a university-specific recruitment manager. 
 
The Regional Recruitment Manager (RRM) executes a student recruitment strategy across key territories that targets international students seeking a US university degree.  The role includes marketing activities in the region (primarily India, but with potential travel also to China, Vietnam or other key markets for UoP), as well as high level account management of key channel partners, business development and long tail activation.  The RRM drives and ultimately ensures the execution of the recruitment strategy across the region and multiple channels to maximize opportunities and build the brand of the university.

Job Overview
 
Recruitment Manager (RM) develops and executes a student recruitment strategy across the Region that targets international students seeking a US university degree. The role includes account development and management of key channel partners in the Region. The RM will drive and ultimately ensures the execution of the recruitment strategy across the region and multiple channels to maximize the student opportunities across Shorelight’s portfolio of partner universities. The ARM will work closely with the Senior Recruitment Manager for MENA and the Regional Director to develop the strategy and provide up to date market analysis and recommendations. This position is based in Dubai and directly reports to the Senior Recruitment Manager – MENA.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Regional Strategy/Operations
  • Assist in the development and execution of regional revenue growth strategy across channels, products and sub regions to support Shorelight’s growth goals
  • Assist with regional budget planning and management including target setting, T&E, scholarships/discounts, marketing, channel partner incentives etc.
  • Work closely with the team and line manager to deliver critical feedback on new products, universities and programs for the region
  • Maintain high levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge and market intelligence
  • Channel Development/Management
  • Grow coverage and appointment/management of channel partners in new cities/countries across the Region to achieve enrollment goals for the region
  • Develop and manage the annual partnership plans (APPs) of key channel partners in the region in conjunction with the Recruitment Manager and the Regional Director
  • Co-develop and guide the execution of a multi-channel revenue growth strategy across agencies, sponsorship bodies, high school and D2C channels
  • •Co-develop and ensure execution of key regional initiatives such as multi-application bundling, scholarship incentives, etc. for each channel partner
 
  • Portfolio Sales Pipeline Management
  • Responsible for the management of student pipeline development and executing against targets across each of Shorelight’s partners
  • Developing and ensuring execution of campaigns that enables the successful launch of new programs and existing programs within the Shorelight portfolio, and adjusting as needed to drive target achievement
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends, and, using technology systems and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, and training events to build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective channel partners, sponsorship bodies and Shorelight recruitment staff
 
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area. Master degree preferred but not required
  • 1-3 years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry or a similarly structured industry
  • Strong sales and account management skills 
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, with strong drive for results
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while remaining pressure-resilient
  • Proficient with technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
