Job Overview

The Regional Partnership Manager, MENA is a channel development leader who is in charge of searching and signing new business partner/channel within their given region, to support regional recruitment team to expand its channel network and increase points of sales for all Shorelight programs.  Reporting to the Regional Director, MENA, the Regional Partnership Manager, MENA will focus on identification of channel and partner opportunities, pitching, negotiating and forming partnership agreements with these channels, and then ensuring a healthy business yield from those new channels/partners.

Essential Functions

Channel Development

  • Lead the initial approach to new channel/partner, then following an agreed engagement process, in collaboration with Recruitment Manager, pitch and negotiate through to contract and a sales goal.
  • Work closely with HQ data analyst team and Regional Recruitment Manager to develop an actionable regional channel expansion plan.
  • Ongoing relationship management and maintaining of the new partnerships post-contract.
  • Ongoing support to Recruitment team to cultivate the new partnership and drive new sales.
  • Work closely with recruitment team to develop school network and non-agent channels.
  • Optimization of regional new channel expansion collateral and presentations. 
  • Ensure new channel agreement, APP etc., are optimized for revenue and ROI optimization

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Expanding new high school relationships
  • Conversion directly with students/parents (direct or agent channel)
  • Ability to speak with and influence sponsor bodies when needed
  • Alumni and parent engagement
  • Running mock classes etc. for high school counselors and/or prospective students

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • 3+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B relationship management
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, with strong drive for results, and pressure-resilient
  • Proficient with technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to travel extensively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing network and relationships within the education industry; strong working knowledge of key international markets, programs, and products; and US higher education are all pluses

The Assistant Recruitment Manager assists in executing a student recruitment strategy across Cambodia that targets international students seeking U.S. university degrees. The role includes the development and account management of Shorelight’s regional network of recruiters, schools, and universities, along with contributing to didrect-to-student marketing campaigns that drive enrollments to Shorelight’s university partners. This role also works with the Regional Director and the regional teams to ensure communication across the region and to coordinate recruitment events, visitors in market, and other activities.

This position directly reports to the Recruitment Manager for Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos, located in Bangkok.

Essential Functions

  • Execute Shorelight university partners’ student recruitment strategies, partnering with Recruitment Managers as well as Shorelight’s global marketing team for all marketing and advertising strategies and collateral
  • Help manage key channel accounts and partnerships to achieve enrollment targets for all university partnerships
  • Follow a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends and report on all phases of recruitment process to the Recruitment Manager  
  • Maintain high levels competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, and training events to build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners, and other external institutions and vendors
  • Execute efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process with strong focus on converting inquiries to applications
  • Work with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry of our students into the school or program
  • Assist the wider Southeast Asia team with coordinating events in region, help maintain the master sheet of all recruitment events in the region, and help coordinate visitors from overseas into the region
  • Work with the Regional Director and Senior Recruitment Manager to generate status reports for the region
  • Vet and distribute the leads generated by D2C campaigns in the wider region
  • Work closely with the regional Enrollment Services Advisor to boost student conversion rates post-application
  • Coordinate familiarization trips with headquarters in Boston on behalf of the region

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sales, marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • 2+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry in Cambodia and Southeast Asia
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, with strong drive for results
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while remaining pressure-resilient
  • Proficiency with technology and reporting programs/systems
