Job Overview 

Shorelight Education is seeking to hire a Product Sales Specialist to execute a student recruitment strategy across China targeted at international students seeking a US university degree.  The Product Sales position, reporting directly to the Senior Product Sales Manager China, will work across all channels to maximize the recruitment efforts in the China for a specific set of Shorelight partner universities.  The Product Sales role is a combination of sales and marketing and will work closely with Shorelight’s in market recruitment teams and partners as well as Shorelight’s marketing and campus based teams. The product sales role will be approximately 80% sales/product management and 20% marketing. 

Key Responsibilities 

The responsibilities of this position include: 

  

  • Work across all channels within China to achieve specific targets for a specific set of products
  • Contribute to, and execute on, Shorelight university partner’s broader student recruitment strategies
  • Develop and execute a product specific recruitment plan across China in conjunction with Shorelight regional recruitment and campus teams
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends and reporting on all phases of recruitment process to the regional director and campus managing directors and product management team
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Work closely with the regional recruitment teams to ensure all Shorelight recruitment staff members and our partners are trained on the relevant products
  • work closely with sales and product team, to deliver counsellor training to Shorelight partners in the region as needed
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, exhibitions and training events.  Build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners and other external institutions and vendors
  • Work closely with regional recruitment teams and US based product/campus teams to execute new product launches in market
  • Accountable for providing first hand feedback to the US based product/campus teams on market conditions, recruitment activities, marketing campaigns and suggestions for further product optimization
  • Execute an efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.) with strong focus on conversion of inquiries to applications to offers to enrolments
  • Work effectively with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry into the school or program
  • Assist regional recruitment teams in organizing and delivering pre-departure events
  • Other ad-hoc assignments

Qualifications 

  • 1+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry

  • Proficiency with CRM technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Willingness and ability to travel across all tires of China cities and to the US is required

Job Overview   
Shorelight is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead and further develop a world-class student acquisition team and optimize the sales and marketing functions to maximize revenue growth and profitability for the Company. Reporting to the CEO, the CRO will serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and will be a key contributor to the Company’s growth initiatives and strategy. Revenue Strategy & Leadership    
  • Drive performance and alignment for the company’s revenue generation departments, including B2B and B2C sales, marketing, and non-academic.

  • Execute efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.) with a strong focus on the conversion of inquiries to applications.
  • Work effectively with the university liaisons to ensure a smooth entry into the school or program (working with finance offices on incoming deposits, tracking of payments, processing of agent contracts and commissions, as necessary; assisting incoming students with form completion; coordinating arrival transportation for new, incoming students; etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in sales, marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • Proficient in English, Native in Chinese
  • 3+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry in West China
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Proficient with technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a customer service ethic within the work team
  • Willingness to travel
  • Eligibility to work in the hiring location without sponsorship

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, with strong drive for results, and pressure-resilience
  • Existing network and relationships within the education industry in West China; strong working knowledge of key international markets, programs, and products; and US higher education are all pluses

Job Overview

The Digital Operation Officer role reports to the Associate Director,  Digital Growth Operation and Automation China, and supports the in-country recruitment team responsible for executing local enrolment strategies in the region targeted at national online and offline channels.

 

This position will work closely with the in-country recruitment team, global teams and external partners to organize and execute online/offline enrollment campaigns that support student recruitment, monitoring the campaign metrics. This role also requires monitoring the local SCRM system and executing supporting tasks for the in-country recruitment team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the China Recruitment and Digital Performance team to initiate and execute seasonal enrolment campaigns and customer training, annual conferences, and summits, and manage the vendors to well organize and deliver these activities. As well as leverage digital tools to track and analyze activities’ ROIs.
  • Support the Associate Director,  Digital Growth Operation and Automation China, to coordinate with crossing teams in headquarter and partner universities’ campus and optimize customer engagement during the whole enrollment funnels.
  • Develop the SCRM auto-campaign calendar and execute the digital campaigns.
  • Monitor the local SCRM system to execute the auto-campaign to pipeline audiences, which includes channel partners, students, and potential leads, and to gain high engagement performance.
  • Support the Associate Director,  Digital Growth Operation and Automation China, to analyze the auto-campaign metrics on best support for entire academic enrollment strategies and student enrollment goals.
  • As the key communication person to coordinate with key stakeholders for seasonal enrolment activities.

  • Strong multi-task management and organization skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proficiency with CRM technology and reporting programs/systems preferred
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft, PowerPoint, Adobe, video shooting, editing and other Digital Automation Tools, e.g.
  • Creative thinking and ability to pay attention to details.
  • Collaborative team builder with a strong team orientation.
