Job Overview

The Enrollment Counselor executes an international student recruitment strategy at international students seeking U.S. university degrees. The role primarily engages and consults with, advises, supports, and enrolls qualified potential international students, helping them to achieve their academic goal of attending one of Shorelight’s university partners’ programs. The Enrollment Counselor’s performance is reviewed and monitored based on enrollment results, the quality of outbound and inbound communication, lead contact activity, completed applications, attitude and working relationships.

The role will also be focused on: 1. Identifying and propose best practices from the team in order to optimize the region’s performance and 2. Engaging with, consulting, advising, supporting, and enrolling qualified potential international students in achieving their academic goals by enrolling them in one of Shorelight’s university partners programs. An Enrollment Counselor’s performance is reviewed and monitored based on regional DTS results and individual enrollment results, the quality of lead contact activity, completed applications, attitude, working relationships and communication.

 

Essential Functions

Process Optimization

  • Identify and communicate on market trends seen by the DTS team to promote better campaigns from MKT and increase conversions from the entire DTS team
  • Follow up on Soft Denials and actively promote best practices to increase the conversion rate of this channel
  • Consistently work with current tools such as Salesforce and Tableau and indicate ways to streamline team usage
  • Generate new activities with referred students and their families. Identify Student/parent ambassadors in market to help us promote our programs

Student Lead Management

  • Contribute to the growth of the business and to new student enrollments by assessing potential applicants and determine if they are qualified to apply and enroll in various academic programs
  • Collaborate regularly with real-time feedback loops with LATAM digital marketing manager and recruitment team on digital campaigns, messaging, lead volume, and lead conversion activities
  • Use a consultative sales approach to guide and support prospective students through the enrollment process
  • Receive and follow-up on potential students via phone, email, and social media and where beneficial and feasible, in person
  • Build rapport and provide guidance for students interested in obtaining a degree or certificate program based on prospective student desired goals or career interest
  • Provide a positive and superior student experience
  • Consistently seek opportunity to drive student growth by referrals
  • Maintain a high-level knowledge of current programs, products, processes, and policies
  • Demonstrate expertise in the all steps of the admissions process
  • Understand and communicate the value propositions of our brands (and those of our competitors) in order to be able to provide an excellent student experience by offering the right program

Conversion Activities

  • Execute on tailored conversion activities to drive conversion from sales qualified lead to application, application to confirmation, and confirmation to enrollment via multiple platforms to reach enrollment goals
  • Leverage available tools and develop new that move students through the conversion process including scholarships, student ambassador connections, webinars, testimonials, campus visits

Tracking and Reporting

  • Leverage Salesforce CRM for tracking of assigned students to track their status and progress toward enrollment
  • Create consistent and observable documentation in Salesforce and throughout the student cycle of student engagement, activities and processes;
  • Maintain and keep updated an ongoing student pipeline status dashboard to provide ongoing updates and reports to the team on the health of your student pipeline

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to sell high value, consumer services or products
  • Proficient in writing and speaking English
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Must possess confident telephone presence
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

The Senior Recruitment Manager, Shorelight Live develops and executes a multichannel revenue and growth strategy across Southeast Asia for Shorelight Live. 

Shorelight Live is a high-growth, independent division of Shorelight serving international students, institutions, and governments through a cutting-edge, classroom-based, Live instruction platform developed by Shorelight. Shorelight Live offers elite U.S. degree-bound and Executive Education programs

The role includes direct marketing, and business development in the region and high-level account development. The Senior Recruitment Manager, SL Live drives and ultimately ensures the execution of the recruitment strategy across the region and multiple channels to maximize the student opportunities and revenue across Shorelight Live’s portfolio of partner programs.

This position is based in Indonesia or Vietnam and directly reports to the Regional Director, Southeast Asia and will work closely with the Vice President, Program Sales, along with the greater acquisition, channel development and live business development, enrollment management and partner operations teams. 

Key Responsibilities

Regional Strategy/Operations

  • Develop and lead the execution of regional revenue growth strategy across agent and direct channels, products and sub regions to support Shorelight Live’s growth strategy
  • Responsible for assisting with regional budget planning and management including T&E, scholarships/discounts, marketing, channel partner incentives etc.
  • Work closely with Shorelight Live and Global Sales HQ in Boston to deliver critical feedback on new products, universities and programs for the region
  • Maintain high levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence 

Business Development/Management

  • Sourcing potential LIVE partners and delivery centers/channels
  • Developing custom deals working with HQ, Shorelight Global Solutions and then negotiate to close the deal
  • Convert those deals into student flow
  • Account management of recruitment partnerships
  • Co-develop and guide the execution of a multi-channel revenue growth strategy across agencies, sponsorship bodies, university and D2C channels
  • Co-develop and ensure execution of key regional initiatives such as multi-application bundling, scholarship incentives, etc for each channel partner

 Portfolio Sales Pipeline Management

  • Responsible for the management of student pipeline development and executing against targets across each of Shorelight Live partners
  • Developing and ensuring execution of campaigns that enables the successful launch of new programs and existing programs within the Shorelight portfolio, and adjusting as needed to drive target achievement
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends, and, using technology systems and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, and training events to build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective channel partners, sponsorship bodies and Shorelight recruitment staff.

Qualifications

  • Existing network and relationships leading to business development starting day one within/outside of the education industry
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area. Master’s degree preferred but not required
  • 10+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry or a similarly structured industry
  • 5+ years of direct line management experience
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, with strong drive for results
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while remaining pressure-resilient
  • Proficient with technology and reporting programs/systems

The Recruitment Manager, West Africa (RM, WA) executes student recruitment and pre-arrival conversion activities across West Africa, targeted at international students seeking a U.S. university degree.  The role will include channel development and account management of a regional network of direct and indirect accounts, along with building and managing student campaigns and pre-arrival processes, spanning the entire application cycle start to finish, successfully driving enrollments to Shorelight’s university partners.

 

This position is remote based in Lagos, Nigeria and directly reports to the Regional Director, EMEA.

Essential Functions

Business Development and Relationship Management

  • Help build and drive execution on Shorelight’s regional student recruitment strategies, partnering with members of the sales, marketing, admissions, and enrollment services teams to achieve regional goals and ensure end-to-end student conversion
  • Grow and manage key channel accounts and partnerships to achieve enrollment targets for all university partnerships
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, and training events.  Build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners and other external institutions and vendors.

Shorelight Education is seeking to hire a Product Sales Manager to execute a student recruitment strategy across China targeted at international students seeking a US university degree.  The Product Sales position, reporting directly to the Deputy Recruitment Director, China, will work across all channels to maximize the recruitment efforts in the China for a specific set of Shorelight partner universities.  The Product Sales role is a combination of sales and marketing and will work closely with Shorelight’s in market recruitment teams and partners as well as Shorelight’s marketing and campus based teams. The product sales role will be approximately 80% sales/product management and 20% marketing.

 

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include:

 

  • Work across all channels within China to achieve specific targets for a specific set of products

  • Work closely with campus teams, China marketing team and China Event Planning Manager to ensure student feedback, testimonials and future alumni events are in place
  • Work with relevant campus teams and China Event Planning Manager on FAM trips involving partners from China
  • Work closely with China Event Planning Manager to manage the student ambassador programs for current students to return to their home country during breaks and attend events focused on prospective students or parents
  • Assist regional recruitment teams in organizing and delivering pre-departure events

 

Qualifications

Shorelight Live is a high-growth, independent division of Shorelight serving international students, institutions, and governments through a cutting-edge, classroom-based, Live instruction platform developed by Shorelight. Shorelight Live offers elite U.S. degree-bound and Executive Education programs

The role includes direct marketing, and business development in the region and high level account development. The Senior Recruitment Manager, SL Live drives and ultimately ensures the execution of the recruitment strategy across the region and multiple channels to maximize the student opportunities and revenue across Shorelight Live’s portfolio of partner programs.

This position is based in Taiwan and directly reports to the Regional Director, North Asia will work closely with the Vice President, Program Sales, along with the greater acquisition, channel development and live business development, enrollment management and partner operations teams. 

Key Responsibilities

Regional Strategy/Operations

  • Develop and lead the execution of regional revenue growth strategy across agent and direct channels, products and sub regions to support Shorelight Live’s growth strategy
  • Responsible for assisting with regional budget planning and management including T&E, scholarships/discounts, marketing, channel partner incentives etc.
  • Work closely with Shorelight Live and Global Sales HQ in Boston to deliver critical feedback on new products, universities and programs for the region
  • Maintain high levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence

Business Development/Management

  • Sourcing potential LIVE partners and delivery centers/channels
  • Developing custom deals working with HQ, Shorelight Global Solutions and then negotiate to close the deal
  • Convert those deals into student flow
  • Account management of recruitment partnerships
  • Co-develop and guide the execution of a multi-channel revenue growth strategy across agencies, sponsorship bodies, university and D2C channels
  • Co-develop and ensure execution of key regional initiatives such as multi-application bundling, scholarship incentives, etc for each channel partner

Portfolio Sales Pipeline Management

  • Responsible for the management of student pipeline development and executing against targets across each of Shorelight Live partners
  • Developing and ensuring execution of campaigns that enables the successful launch of new programs and existing programs within the Shorelight portfolio, and adjusting as needed to drive target achievement
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends, and, using technology systems and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, and training events to build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective channel partners, sponsorship bodies and Shorelight recruitment staff.

Qualifications

  • Existing network and relationships leading to business development starting day one within/outside of the education industry
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area. Master’s degree preferred but not required
  • 10+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry or a similarly structured industry
  • 5+ years of direct line management experience
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, with strong drive for results
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while remaining pressure-resilient
  • Proficient with technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a customer service ethic within the regional team
  • Willingness to travel across the region (approximately 30-40%)
  • Willingness to travel to the US 2x per year on average and to regional director conferences as needed
  • Fluency in English is required.

Job Overview

The Enrollment Counselor leads and executes our lead management and conversion activities in the EMEA region targeted at students seeking a U.S. university degree. Based in Dubai, the Enrollment Counselor works as part of a highly motivated professional team and is responsible for the D2C lead management and conversion of new students on campus.

The role primarily focuses on helping qualified potential international students to achieve their academic goals by advising, supporting, and enrolling them in one of Shorelight’s university partners programs. This position works closely with marketing/D2C teams to provide student-focused, optimal learning experiences and services that lead to student conversion.  Measures of success for this role include the ability to drive direct applications, conversion from offer to deposit, and conversion from deposit to enrollment. A large proportion of this sales and service role is speaking with applicants and parents via online chat platforms, email, and telephone daily.


Essential Functions 

Student Lead Management

  • Contribute to the growth of the business and to new student enrollments by assessing potential applicants and determining their eligibility to apply and enroll in various academic programs
  • Collaborate regularly with real-time feedback loops with Digital Marketing
  • Manage digital campaigns, messaging, lead volume, and lead conversion activities
  • Use a consultative sales approach to guide and support prospective students through the enrollment process
  • Receive and follow up on potential students via phone, email, social media, and, where beneficial and feasible, in person
  • Build rapport with and guide students interested in obtaining a degree or certificate program based on prospective student’s desired goals or career interest
  • Provide a positive and superior student experience
  • Consistently seek opportunity to drive student growth by referrals
  • Maintain a high-level knowledge of current programs, products, processes, and policies
  • Demonstrate expertise in all steps of the admissions process
  • Understand and communicate the value propositions of our brands (and those of our competitors) to provide an excellent student experience by offering the right program

 

Conversion Activities

  • Drive new student enrollments from pipeline of student leads through conversion efforts
  • Execute on tailored conversion activities to drive conversion from sales-qualified lead to application, application to confirmation, and confirmation to enrollment via multiple platforms to reach enrollment goals
  • Leverage available tools and develop new tools that move students through the conversion process, including scholarships, student ambassador connections, webinars, testimonials, and campus visits

 Tracking and Reporting

  • Leverage Salesforce CRM for tracking of assigned students to track their status and progress toward enrollment
  • Create consistent and observable documentation in Salesforce and throughout the student cycle of student engagement, activities, and processes
  • Maintain and keep updated an ongoing student pipeline status dashboard to provide ongoing updates and reports to the team on the health of the student pipeline

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior education sales/enrollment experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of CRM software, e.g. Salesforce, preferred
  • Ability to sell high-value consumer services or products
  • Proficient in writing and speaking English and preferably Arabic
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must possess confident telephone presence
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively by meeting quality standards
  • Must possess effective time management skills, sense of urgency, and ability to plan and prioritize daily activities
