Job Overview

The Content Manager leads and grows a content operation designed to attract and nurture new leads and expand our thought leadership in the international higher education space. 

Essential Functions

  • Work with the marketing team to develop content strategy on B2C and B2B products, client sites, and editorial channels 
  • Work with campus and regional stakeholders to develop messaging architectures and key selling points for partner universities and omnichannel campaigns
  • Manage in-house copywriters and outside freelance writers
  • Manage a content calendar across multiple business units to meet key business goals
  • Perform developmental, technical, and copy editing on a large volume of content for a global audience including marketing, UX, and editorial projects
  • Scale levels of edit to meet aggressive schedules and frequent release cycles
  • Review and edit whole products: to include but not limited to Web pages, brochures, emails
  • Mentor writers to improve clarity, conciseness, and consistency, with a focus on user-goal topic-based authoring and lean writing
  • Develop and maintain a style guide to allow for scalability 
  • Work with our in-house lead generation team to optimize content through SEO to improve search rankings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help evolve editorial standards and processes
  • Make data-driven decisions to move our content forward

Minimum Qualifications

  • A./B.S. in related field or equivalent working experience
  • 7+ years of work experience
  • Experience creating content for the Web across several disciplines (text, design, video, etc.) and media (blogging, guides, whitepapers, research, infographics, podcasts, etc.)
  • Excellent editing and writing skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work in a constantly evolving and fast paced environment

Job Overview

The Executive Director, Digital Marketing, leads the execution of paid and organic inbound marketing strategies that drive demand and conversion across direct sales and agent channels.

This role focuses on paid social, paid search, retargeting, organic search, email, lead capture, affiliate marketing, display advertising, and management of associated digital media.

The Executive Director oversees marketing automation technologies and processes to ensure they conform to industry best practices. In addition, this individual works closely with the customer insights and analytics team to lead the development and execution of a clear, comprehensive reporting methodology for communicating top-of-funnel trends and attribution.

In driving new student and agent enrollments for the direct and agent channels, the Executive Director partners with the Vice President of Marketing, the Executive Director of Inside Sales, and the Senior Director of Product Marketing to collaboratively design a cohesive end-to-end customer engagement and conversion funnel across all key recruitment regions.

Essential Functions

Direct Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Partner with the senior marketing leadership team to drive the demand generation and conversion strategy
  • Develop a results-oriented inbound digital marketing strategy to achieve enrollment and revenue goals
  • Analyze and share performance of digital marketing campaigns, and optimize ROI through testing and innovation

Talent Management

  • Develop, inspire, and manage a team of digital marketing professionals toward the effective use of inbound marketing strategies to drive conversion
  • Evaluate and evolve team structures and agency vs. in-house approaches
  • Champion digital marketing best practices and educate senior leadership and adjacent teams about same

Performance Management

  • Evaluate the Shorelight inbound marketing digital ecosystem and work across the broader marketing team to develop and align around a set of collaborative strategies that drive traffic to chosen channels
  • Identify the most appropriate digital platforms, tools, and systems to support inbound digital marketing strategies, partnering with technology to implement where appropriate
  • Establish clear and comprehensive measurement processes and frameworks to allow active management of campaign performance, quantitative insight on content effectiveness, and deliver regular reporting for stakeholders
  • Report out regularly and consistently on company digital marketing activities

P&L Management

  • Assume P&L responsibility for Shorelight’s inbound digital marketing activities and accountability for meeting the business’s performance marketing KPIs
  • Manage team budget and explore variable spend models that shift from fixed budget approaches toward output and contribution

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • 5–7 years’ experience in direct digital marketing
  • Clear track record of effectively leading high-profile initiatives to meet performance marketing KPIs
  • Deep experience and understanding of the principles and disciplines of performance marketing, including (but not limited to) SEM, affiliates, display, CRM, marketing automation
  • In-depth knowledge of digital engagement channels, technical strategies, and emerging global trends
  • Extensive background in Marketo (or similar marketing automation software) and Google Analytics (or similar analytics software)

Job Overview

The Campus Marketing Coordinator grows the brand of the partnership and its programs. This includes marketing the full suite of program offerings, both graduate and undergraduate, and increasing brand awareness across the campus and global community. Essential Functions

Program Promotion

  • Work with the global Shorelight marketing team and campus leadership to execute the annual marketing plan
  • Act as the primary point of contact and as a liaison to internal university departments, as required
  • Manage and create content for social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the program blog
  • Document the students’ experiences and tell student stories through photos, videos, blogs, student testimonials (video and print) and social media
  • Create effective messaging for local, regional, and global marketing campaigns to use across departments and by international recruitment partners
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and manage visitor agendas (prospective students, campus open days, Shorelight staff, agents, FAM trips, ); plan and execute visits

Job Overview

The Channel Marketing Manager will work closely with the Greater China recruitment team and Shorelight’s central channel marketing team to develop and execute Shorelight’s channel marketing strategy for the greater China region. This consists of content development, sales collateral creation, email and social media campaigns, presentations, webinars, and other communications to support our channel partners in promoting our partner universities programs and growing student enrollments.  The role requires a dynamic individual who works across teams, communicating with marketing teams across the globe, admissions, program implementation, and others. The Channel Marketing Manager is an integral part of the marketing team and must have a bachelor’s degree as well as a positive, can-do attitude; strong attention to detail; experience in project management; and exceptional communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include:

 

  • Collaborate with Shorelight’s central marketing and China student recruitment teams in the development of localized channel marketing plans, materials, and tools to drive enrollment to all partner universities.
  • Develop all communications planning to engage and communicate with our channel partners on behalf of Shorelight and our partner universities and programs.
  • Track the efficiency of all channel marketing projects, and subsequently measure results with other marketers and sales managers. This includes tight alignment with our channel partners’ account managers internally and ability to manage within our CRM to ensure consistency.
  • Localize and produce best in class channel collateral, including writing copy and design.
  • Ensure all channel marketing materials are appropriately customized and localized including translation, attention to cultural sensitivities, and placement in China social media outlets
  • Lead and manage localized channel collateral planning, budgeting, quality control, and production
  • Develop strong online Shorelight channel presence through social media strategy and the design and creation of a custom application
  • Initiate and localize channel marketing and conversion campaign via Hubspot, Salesforce, and social media to drive enrollments
  • Build strong relationships with the marketing departments to effectively co-promote our universities.
  • To develop china localized tools that enable the recruitment team to communicate effectively with channel partners in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
  • Utilize third party vendors for technical expertise and manage these relationships where necessary.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ tactical marketing experience preferably within international or higher education
  • Experience developing and implementing high-level marketing plans and budgets
  • Excellent project management skills, including setting priorities and anticipating needs
  • Ability to work with CRMs systems to monitor progress, report on key metrics, and communicate across the channel
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from local, national, and international constituencies

Job Overview

The Marketing Automation Manager: B2B crafts and implements marketing automation solutions to support the global B2B customer journey. He or she is a key member of the team tasked with scaling Shorelight’s B2B marketing initiatives.

With the goal of creating an optimized customer experience, the Marketing Automation Manager drives strategy for lead capture and nurture, as well as collects the data and shares insights needed to constantly evolve our approach. With a creative mind and a deep understanding of marketing technology, this individual crafts campaigns that engage and convert our customers.

The Marketing Automation Manager is a core member of the growing marketing operations team. He or she collaborates with teammates to share skills and learn from others, with the ultimate goal of creating a marketing automation center of excellence that supports all of Shorelight. The Marketing Automation Manager is a strategic lead as well as a doer who leads brainstorming sessions about how to utilize automation to improve experience at key touch points, finds vendors to fill resource gaps, and rolls up his or her sleeves to build an email engagement report.

Essential Functions

  • Drive and manage full-funnel automated nurture strategy through collaboration with channel marketing, creative teams, sales, and engineering
  • Develop audience segmentation, including lifecycle stages and personas
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders during initial planning phases, development, content creation, and launch, with the goal of creating an automation roadmap for achieving success
  • Conceptualize and manage robust campaigns based on lead generation efforts, lead behavior and engagement, key markets and personas
  • Monitor, analyze, report on campaign results and ROI; implement steps to increase engagement and boost conversion
  • Use data (including A/B test results) to improve nurture cadence, content engagement, landing page optimization, and lead generation efforts
  • Support the department goal of clean data, ensuring diligent adherence to data capture best practices
  • Educate marketing and the wider company about marketing automation capabilities and the team’s role in enhancing the customer journey
  • Activate and manage agency and contractor resources needed to achieve key initiatives or support production needs
  • Understand needs of regional markets and sales, providing solutions that work for their unique customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Marketo Certified Expert (current certification)
  • Deep understanding of segmentation
  • Ability to read from and write technical documentation of complex campaigns
  • Experience optimizing campaigns through A/B and other testing methods, analysis and continuous improvement process
  • Experience in establishing and scaling B2B marketing efforts
  • Experience supporting a global company
  • Experience with CRM system, preferably Salesforce
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects based on priorities and deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills that enable translating complex data into productive discussions and effective presentations
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and curiosity to want to know how things work
  • Eager to work in a collaborative and results-oriented team environment
  • Ability to work independently to achieve set goals in a fast-paced environment (and knowing when to ask for guidance)
  • Ability to travel and work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience with BI tools, preferably Tableau
  • Experience with work in China and South Asia

Job Overview

Shorelight Education is seeking to hire a  Marketing Manager, Shorelight LIVE to support the execution of a student recruitment and product launch strategy across China targeted at international students seeking to earn a U.S. university graduate degree through a new, innovative, and globalized technology. Shorelight Live offers hybrid higher education programs that combine the traditional, immersive U.S. university experience with technology-enabled, in-country, live-lecture learning.

This role will report directly in to the Regional Marketing Director, China, and will work across all channels to market, drive lead generation and conversion, support enrollment and recruitment initiatives across both Direct and Indirect channels, manage, and report marketing and enrollment data for all Shorelight Live products in China. This role is a combination of product management and product marketing, and will work extremely closely with sales, marketing, campus operations, and a transnational operations and strategy team.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Work across all channels within China to support the achievement of specific enrollment targets for Shorelight Live products
  • Develop deep product knowledge of Shorelight Live products, university partners, and unique selling points of all
  • Develop marketing content specific to Shorelight Live product, including but not limited to: website content, email nurture content, WeChat and other social media posts, advertising campaigns and more.
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of target consumers and ideal channels for lead generation and conversion – continually deepen understanding of nuances of student personas
  • Work closely with global Shorelight Live teams, regional marketing, recruitment and admissions to ensure alignment on transnational initiatives such as program launches and classroom demos
  • Work closely with Digital Marketing team to develop integrated advertising and lead generation campaigns
  • Support the China Training Manager to ensure all Shorelight recruitment staff members and education counsellor partners are trained on the relevant Shorelight Live programs and products
  • Ensure clear and streamlined communications across departments, teams, and global offices
  • Drive initiatives to ensure student feedback, testimonials and future alumni events are in place, working with campus managing director(s), the China marketing team and the China Event Planning Manager
  • Work with the US Shorelight Live product team to source reliable market research for priority products in key regions in China
  • Proactively manage communications from campus and Boston to regional marketing and sales teams regarding product updates, intake dates, admissions criteria, and marketing support
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to enrollment management, including monitoring market and enrollment trends and competitor analysis
  • Accountable for providing first-hand feedback to the US based product/campus teams on market conditions, recruitment activities, marketing campaigns and suggestions for further product optimization
  • Be conduit between campus, operations, and sales to ensure that expectations and projections are set accurately and communicated clearly
  • Facilitate trips for key international personnel to China as needed
  • Attend evening and morning meetings outside of the standard workday on a regular basis

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Professional proficiency in English required
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience; experience in product marketing or international education strongly preferred
  • Energetic and motivated professional with strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural professional environment preferred
  • Able to have evening and morning calls to accommodate different time zones
  • Proficiency with CRM technology and reporting programs/systems preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness and ability to travel across all tires of China cities, US and other international destinations
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, higher education administration or related area
  • Right to work in China
