Job Overview

The Analyst Intern assists the Data Analytics team’s efforts to weave data and analytics into the fabric of Shorelight’s everyday work. This role will work to support the conversion of data into insights that will lead to informed business decisions. 

Essential Functions

  • Works collaboratively with team members to build out an internal customer support program for Shorelight’s data visualization tool, driving internal customer adoption and satisfaction, improving operational efficiency, and creating a fun and motivational environment that accelerates performance success.
  • Applies analytical skills to help team identify ways to build & nurture sales pipeline, evaluate nurture performance and infuse automation into processes.
  • Responsible for delivering insights and recommendations in consistent, actionable formats and communicating findings to Director Insights and Analytics.
  • Manages and executes various ad-hoc project requests as prioritized and assigned by the Director of Insights and Analytics.
  • Works to uncover opportunities to improve both internal processes and data quality, including helping to clean, prepare, and troubleshoot inconsistencies.
  • Proactively analyzes and translates detailed student lead data in the funnel into appropriate actions for marketing and sales teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven analytical skills, computer proficiency and project management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with adaptability
  • Internal customer orientation and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks

Shorelight Education is looking for an energetic marketing intern to assist the Marketing Department. We’re looking for an undergraduate or graduate student to join our internship program who is mission-driven and passionate about helping students across the world access great universities and succeed. In addition to working closely with a Shorelight mentor on meaningful project work, students have opportunities to interact with team members across the organization, join meetings and events, and participate in professional development opportunities. 

The intern will report to the Marketing Manager and will gain hands-on experience working in the international education industry. Candidates should be pursuing a degree in marketing, communication, public relations or a related field. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with website maintenance, updates and SEO using WordPress, in addition, analyzing traffic data using Google Analytics
  • Develop a comprehensive social media and blog plan for university partners
  • Develop content for specific marketing materials for the purpose of recruiting students internationally
  • Assist the marketing team in trafficking projects through design and web
  • Assist administrative work in our digital asset management system and analyzing traffic data using analytics tool

Qualifications

  • Interest in global educational issues including student access and success 
  • Must have experience using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Google Analytics, WordPress and SEO is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to take initiative and complete projects in a timely manner

Job Overview

The Career Development Intern is passionate about working within international education. This individual has a strong work ethic and abundant enthusiasm for developing his or her skills and career.

Marketing is an essential support for program promotion and community relations at Shorelight. The Career Development Intern contributes to content creation for Shorelight’s Career Development Program (the Career Accelerator), working closely with the Program Director and Project Coordinator. Our intern also performs database management (using Salesforce) to research priority leadership development programs that often provide successful entry points to the career world for our graduates. 

The Career Development Intern works with a number of stakeholders in the headquarters office to gain a well-rounded experience of the entire business.

Essential Functions

 

Marketing

  • Capture and share content for social media platforms such as highlights and key moments for events as determined by the Career Accelerator team
  • Work with the Career Accelerator Program Managers to write content for partnership blogs and weekly newsletters for the recruitment team
  • Contribute to Career Accelerator internal channel with student success stories, student/university outings, and other updates

Data Analytics

  • Review and update the current database of Leadership Development Programs/ Graduate Recruitment Programs to identify and catalog important recruitment procedures and application deadlines
  • Update the current database of student information to identify and catalog professional opportunities

Support

  • Identify key industry contacts and contact details (where possible) for each university program
  • Conduct research and collect information for a variety of projects, including program training manuals, economic reports, and professional opportunities for international students
  • Support the Student Ambassador Program when needed
  • Provide additional support to the wider partner operations team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal English skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects efficiently and simultaneously
  • Ability to think independently, thoroughly, and critically in fast-paced contexts
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and other local media platforms
  • Demonstrated interest in international education

Essential Functions

Competitive and Product Analyses

  • Lead and partner with analytics to develop a suite of product-level Tableau and Salesforce reports, which will serve as the foundation of product strategy development
  • Assist in the development of partnership analyses, a full university-facing report that combines product, marketing, and competitive analysis to inform future product and marketing recommendations
  • Establish competitive reporting that allows for cross-functional reach across academics, partner operations, student services, global recruitment, and product sales; this will serve as a major input to product strategy development
  • Develop opportunity assessments across educational pathway programs/products, as well as university-level assessments to help inform our global sales strategy; identify 3–5 key areas in which Shorelight should be playing and winning
  • Assist in the development of portfolio programs (i.e., Shorelight English) that allow us to maximize our offerings across all partners and subsequently contribute to product marketing strategies
  • Team up with partner operations, global recruitment, product management, and finance to assist in the development of product-level forecasting and pricing modeling

Minimum Qualifications
