Associate Lecturer Positions – Management Science and Information Systems

The Department of Management Science and Information Systems at UMASS Boston anticipates having several part-time Associate Lecturer positions starting September 1, 2022.

The essential duties will be teaching graduate business analytics courses in areas such as management decision models, business intelligence, big data, and data mining. The successful candidates will be expected to follow standard departmental policies related to instruction and course coordination in multi-section classes and curriculum development. Renewals are contingent upon performance, availability of resources, and needs of the department. The qualifications for these positions are as follows:

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong background in decision models, business intelligence, data mining, and other business analytics subjects,
  • A Master’s degree, candidacy for a Ph.D., or a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field by August 31, 2022,
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in instruction, and
  • Demonstrated success working with diverse populations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in teaching in-person formats and
  • A documented record of excellence in classroom instruction.
