Job Overview

The Human Resources Generalist, EMEA and South Asia is a high-energy, team-oriented individual who has strong interpersonal skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong customer service ethic. Based in India and reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner for EMEA and South Asia, this position provides crucial talent acquisition, human resources, administrative, and logistical support across the regions and works closely with our regional teams. Essential Functions

Talent Acquisition Support

  • Support full-cycle talent acquisition activites for the regions in line with Shorelight’s global talent acquisition process 
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to manage Shorelight’s applicant tracking system, Jobvite
  • Source and identify qualified candidates for open positions through a variety of methods, such as third-party sourcing, Internet sourcing, internal posting responses, internal transfers, employee referrals, and employment advertisements
  • Screen CVs, conduct first-round interviews and selection, provide assessment reports, recommend qualified candidates to Human Resources Business Partner and hiring managers, arrange and schedule interviews at all levels, and conduct reference checks
  • Run various reports in the ATS as required
  • Communicate fully and professionally with candidates throughout the process on a consistent basis so that they remain aware of their status and clearly understand Shorelight’s hiring timeline and next steps in the process
  • Provide support for new employees during the onboarding process, answering questions and guiding them toward other resources

 

New Employee Onboarding

  • Create employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality
  • Coordinate HR aspects of new hire orientation including liaiseing with managers and arranging induction program schedule for new hires
  • Collect and process onboarding documentation to include all locally required onboarding documentation
  • Coordinate onboarding plan with the respective hiring manager, which consists of sending onboarding prep email, submitting IT onboarding ticket, and meeting with the manager to go over logistics
  • Send 30-day check-in surveys to new team members
  • Schedule 60- and 90-day check-ins between new team members and respective manager/HR Business Partner

 

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure that Shorelight remains in compliance with applicable regional employment regulations
  • Ensure that all HR operations processes comply with Shorelight’s regulatory and labor laws, including but not limited to employees’ onboarding and exit process, leave record updates, and probation management
  • Manage contracts, including labor contract signing, renewal, and termination
  • Manage and update regional HR database in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform other ad hoc HR duties and projects as required

 

Administrative and Logistic Support

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the regional offices including office rentals, and office maintenance where applicable
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to staff and building management for all facilities-related requests
  • Implement Shorelight’s office policies
  • Support the team with the planning and execution of office updates and/or office moves
  • Purchase office supplies and maintain supply area where applicable
  • Contribute to ongoing group activities, processes, and special projects, as needed
  • Keep track of all documents and archiving of all receipts and office documents

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of HR, Talent Acquisition, and administrative experience in a complex, global company
  • Knowledge of HR operations and India labor laws
  • Ability to interact successfully with many different personality types and effectively develop and maintain strong working relationships across the region
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships throughout an organization despite geographic and time zone challenges
  • Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Open minded, resilient, good interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and with a team
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess W.I.T. (willingness to do “whatever it takes”)!
  • Fluency both in oral and written English 
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Past experience supporting multiple stakeholders with conflicting needs and timelines
  • Experience managing the calendar(s) of others

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a regional level
  • Experience with Jobvite or another similar applicant tracking system
  • 1+ years of sourcing passive candidates
  • Experience working with LinkedIn Recruiter
