Job Overview

Shorelight seeks an experienced leader for the position of Executive Director, Direct Sales to join a global sales and marketing leadership team and to grow and expand our direct student recruitment capacity across key regional marketsThe Executive Director will ensure that  Shorelight’s direct sales capabilities are positioned for growth around all operational metrics, while also overseeing and executing the approved financial budget for the function. The role is responsible for managing Shorelight’s regional network of sales managers and counselors, building and managing campaigns that drive enrollments to Shorelight’s university partners, and collaborating closely with marketing, channel recruitment, enrollment management, technology, and other relevant Shorelight departments to achieve monthly and annual goals.

The successful candidate will be a proven multi-site sales leader, who has successfully scaled multi-channel sales structures for unmatched revenue growth. The Executive Director must have exceptional sales management skills; relevant business experience; and the personal characteristics that will allow him or her to thrive in Shorelight’s dynamic culture.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Lead team responsible for executing regional direct sales for Shorelight and its universities, partnering with Shorelight’s Marketing team for all marketing, advertising and lead generation
  • Enhance and develop all relevant systems, processes, and procedures capitalizing on existing HQ technologies to ensure operational excellence
     
  • Establish priorities, oversee projects and monitor workflow and enrollment trends, report on all phases of recruitment process.
  •  Develop and maintain competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Establish efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.) with strong focus on conversion to enrollment
  • Develop feedback mechanisms for continued improvement

 

Minimum Qualifications

Functional Skills

  • A proven track record of driving the development and execution of KPIs and a process that meaningfully impacted the results and direction of a business

  • Strong partnering and relationship skills required to drive Shorelight’s values of True Partnership

  • Proven teambuilding skills and a track record of developing high-performing teams and talent to raise the quality output

  • A strong and well-rounded sales foundation is required
     

Business Experience

  • Direct Marketing and Sales experience a must to understand present and future trends

  • Understand and execute against dynamics of prospective student life cycles to deliver student flow across programs and intakes

  • Experience in a consumer-driven services business as Shorelight evolves its digital/direct footprint globally

  • Use best practices to create a nimble and agile structure to quickly respond to changes in market conditions

  • Experience in a global business or  in a global role as the successful candidate must be able to navigate different geographies and cultures to assist in managing and scaling the business

 

Management Experience

  • Collaborative teambuilder with a strong team orientation and the desire to develop, train, and mentor others
  • Ability to clearlyarticulate goals and objectives and effectively engage with a wide variety of constituents at all levels

  • Service mentality that embraces   the servantleader model is critical considering Shorelight’s decentralized environment, the ED must build the Direct Sales function around service to the company and its people
