Job Overview

The Student Accounts Coordinator provides support for student billing, receivables, and collections to CSU Global.  This role interacts with the program’s staff, university’s staff, and students.  The Student Accounts Coordinator is the main point of contact for all students’ account inquiries.  This role reports to the Managing Director.

 

The Student Accounts Coordinator is customer service oriented and highly organized with strong attention to detail.  He/She/They has excellent oral and written communication skills, is comfortable multitasking, changing priorities to fit business needs, and managing time efficiently.

 

Essential Functions

Student Accounts and Administrative Support

  • Provide in-person, high-level customer service to students to ensure their understanding of account balances and payment due dates
  • Process student payments into the appropriate payment management system; collect sponsored checks and prepare for delivery to designated location
  • Monitor Finance inbox to address all student queries related to refunds, student account balances, statement of fees, and private loans and ensure that the inbox is organized and solutions are provided in a timely manner
  • Serve as the campus point of contact for students and others on billing and payment issues
  • Evaluate student accounts for refund eligibility and work with students directly to initiate student refunds and obtain accurate and complete refund information
  • Assist in confirmation of quarterly deposit revenue analysis and quarterly bad debt analysis
  • Monitor misdirected payments between Shorelight Partnerships and Universities and request transfer of funds when necessary

Security

  • Comply with Shorelight Written Information Security Policy, and all other Shorelight Information Security Policies and Procedures
  • Take responsibility for any Shorelight assets assigned to you
  • Promptly report any security events, incidents or weaknesses to Shorelight Security

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent years’ work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel
  • Eligibility to work and travel in the United States without Sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of office experience
  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Experience working successfully with non-native English speakers
