The Business Administration major is an interdepartmental program designed to provide maximum course flexibility and a broad-based preparation for future opportunities. At the heart of the major is a business core that includes an extensive background in the functional areas of marketing, finance, accounting, and management.

Beyond coverage of the basic business principles, the business administration program provides you with the opportunity to explore a variety of elective course offerings. Whether you are preparing for graduate study, looking for ways to increase your marketability, or just wanting to explore new hobbies, the business administration program can be tailored to your individual needs for maximum results.

The Bachelor of Business Administration degree prepares graduates to think critically, solve problems, and lead with confidence. This broad-based program teaches important business fundamentals across environments and industries both in the U.S. and globally. You’ll learn how goods and services are produced, financed, and marketed; the impact of external forces on business success; basics of accounting and quantitative methods, plus an introduction to organizational theory and communication and leadership decision-making.

Instead of having one degree solely dedicated to these two areas, the University of Central Florida (UCF) provides Business Administration and Management students with two different degree options, allowing students to gain in-depth knowledge of the specific area of their choice. These degrees at UCF are Integrated Business and Management.

Integrated Business 
Students pursuing an Integrated Business degree experience different aspects of the field within one program. As future graduates who will hold between six and nine jobs, students will learn how to manage a variety of programs and skills essential to business leaders. Students will discover the relationship between business disciplines and functions through applied learning and skill development. Real-world project experience means students graduate with a broad understanding of business and strong financial, analytical, and communication skills. The integrated business degree is for the modern-day business student, helping them solve contemporary business problems for roles such as project coordinator, technical recruiter, and business analyst.

Management
A degree in Management at UCF provides students with the skills necessary to excel in leadership. With a focus on problem solving, group projects, and case analysis, the curriculum prepares students for managerial roles in a variety of organizations. The program can also prepare entrepreneurial students for their own endeavors. Students majoring in Management will take courses such as Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Microeconomics. The degree is essential to any future business leader as an integral education in how managers, as decision makers, affect organizational efficiency. Students can seek a wide variety of managerial positions in industries from banking to hospitality, and pursue roles such as Human Resources Management and Operations Management.

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree Completion program offers a challenging variety of courses intended to give students a well-rounded background in all aspects of operating a business. The program helps students develop critical-thinking, problem-solving, leadership, and other skills that will serve them on the job today as well as become a foundation for lifelong learning. The courses will be offered in an eight-week format (two courses per session when available) and regular (one course per session) track.

As a business administration major, you will develop communication and leadership skills that will make you a competitive candidate for high-level management jobs across a variety of fields. To supplement your broad education, you can declare a concentration in an area that interests you.
