Job Overview

The Global Classroom Technical Support Specialist will support Shorelight Live, which offers immersive distance learning programs through technology-enabled, in-country, live-lecture learning for China including classes in Shanghai, Beijing, Xian, Chengdu and Shenzhen.

The role includes daily class technical operations and support, maintenance and updates and disaster recovery protocols either on-site or remotely.

He/She will collaborate with Shorelight global staff, partners, contractors and vendors to ensure full functionality of PC, network, hardware, software, audio/visual equipment and curriculum.

Essential Functions

Technical Support

  • On-site and remote global classrooms support and maintenance
  • Maintain classroom uptime of 99% or better
  • Manage software and hardware deployments, implementing patches and performing other maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and resolution of PC, network, audio and visual issues
  • Participate in new classroom projects from time to time

Minimum Qualifications

Job Overview

The Program Coordinator supports the Shorelight Live American Collegiate Program, which provides first year, US curriculum to students in their home countries in partnership with US universities.  The Live technology offers hybrid higher education programs that combine the immersive U.S. university experience with technology-enabled, in-country, live-lecture learning.  The position will facilitate live classes through the operation of interactive technology, coordination across remote program management teams, and develop and support student services.

Essential Functions

Operations

  • Audit live lecture sessions and facilitate classroom activities
  • Coordinate with local operations team to provide technical support during live lectures
  • Prepare classroom materials as instructed by academic team
  • Participate in recruitment demo preparation, testing, and setup, and fasciliate day of demo operations as needed
  • Participate in technology testing as necessary
  • Contribute to student services operations to ensure that systems and proecedures are followed and technology is used to sreamline system and procedures
  • Troubleshoot student learning experience issues in real time during live lectures. Escalate and follow through to resolution as necessary

  • Deliver exceptional students services, beginning with pre-arrival processes and communication, orientation programming, ongoing students service support, and acculturation into the US University culture

  • Foster community-building among students by organizing and executing activities and events both online and in person

Required Qualifications

Shorelight is seeking a dynamic individual to lead the marketing strategy, planning and execution for the B2B channel, primarily through educational agents/representatives. The Associate Director, Marketing (China) will develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy targeted at building brand recognition of Shorelight’s university partners in China to drive interest and enrollments from students seeking educational experiences from leading U.S. universities. 

 

This position will work closely with our university partners, Shorelight’s global marketing team, and Shorelight’s China-based recruitment teams to develop the marketing plan and support the recruitment of students through B2B partnerships primarily with education agencies.

 

The Associate Director, Marketing (China) will be a creative thinker with independent judgment, who will develop high quality and innovative marketing campaigns and initiatives both through the B2B channel, and integrated with all other channels where possible. Working with the Director, Student Recruitment (China), and the Executive Director, Marketing, this person will work cross-departmentally to execute specific country marketing objectives to support the achievement of enrollment targets. This person will continue building and managing a China based, B2B marketing team to execute on-brand and strategically aligned product marketing campaigns and initiatives throughout China.

 

Essential Functions

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to drive student enrollments across undergraduate and graduate, and ancillary university programs for the China market to support enrollment goals.
  • Build high-level,  strategic and individualized strategies for each product throughout China, through the B2B channel.
  • Build and work with the marketing team to execute marketing campaigns across print, digital, social media, and third-party partnerships, B2B sales collateral creation and lead generation through SEO, SEM, and digital advertising.
  • Grow university brands’ online presence, and build multi-part engagement campaigns to generate leads and improve conversion rates at all points of the funnel.
  • Ensure all university sales materials are properly branded and localized including translation (where applicable), accurate product information, and attention to cultural sensitivities to ensure high-quality, impactful sales collateral for the China recruitment team and our partners.
  • Ensure that on-going training, support, and detailed product knowledge is being provided to  internal and external recruitment providers and external marketing firms.
  • Manage suite of third-party vendors for technical expertise and expansion of marketing capabilities, particularly in the digital space.
  • Provide in-depth feedback loop, regional insights and analytics to central leadership and program and university partner leadership.
  • Brand the universities for international audiences and ensure that accurate information about programs, requirements, and admissions processes are communicated to potential applicants.
  • Contribute and drive towards channel expansion goals, providing marketing insight and where appropriate, execution. 

 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ strategic and tactical marketing experience preferably within international education or higher education
  • Experience developing and implementing a high-level marketing plan and managing an annual budget in China.
  • Extensive experience managing a multi-functioning and integrated marketing team,  B2B marketing, event planning, print collateral, and digital marketing campaigns
  • Ability to think independently, thoroughly and critically in fast-paced contexts
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from local, national, and international constituencies
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of cultures and linguistic backgrounds

Shorelight is seeking a dynamic individual to execute Shorelight’s marketing strategy, consisting of content development, e-mail, collateral, social media, and other online communications to help shape our marketing message. The Channel Marketing Coordinator is an integral part of the marketing team assisting the Channel Marketing Manager in marketing products through managing e-mail and social media campaigns, maintaining promotional materials inventory.

 

This position will directly report to Channel Marketing Manager (Greater China) and work closely with the in-country recruitment team, to assist with localized marketing strategy to drive recruitment of international students from the region. Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Support Channel Marketing Manager to collaborate with Shorelight’s marketing and student recruitment teams in the development of localized marketing plans, materials, and tools to drive enrollment to all brands
  • Localize the collaterals that reflect each university’s brand including writing copy, producing print banners, and localize training documents, and videos to educate parents, students, feeder schools and agents about programs
  • Ensure all channel marketing materials are properly customized and localized including translation, attention to cultural sensitivities.
  • Support with localized channel collateral planning, quality control, and production
  • Upload and maintain China localized materials folders in Sharepoint and the agent portal
  • Utilize third party vendors for technical expertise and manage these relationships
  • Support with China print and channel network distribution.
  • Coordinate internal team to organize conferences, events, or tradeshows
  • Ensure sufficient marketing materials and promotional items are in stock and manage shipping to various corporate and channel partner events and conferences internationally
  • Support and cooperate with Recruitment team to planning, designing, preparing the materials before important/key activities, seminars, agent re-treats, annual meeting, etc., and follow up the whole process.

Qualifications

  • Related background in Business, Marketing, Media, PR.
  • 2-3 years’ tactical marketing experience preferably within international education or higher education

The Senior Manager, Executive Education, is responsible for achieving enrollment targets for Shorelight Live Executive Education programs. This role encompasses a number of core responsibilities, including conversion of leads generated by various demand-generation campaigns, direct and targeted outreach to prospects acquired through referral campaigns, presentations at events that promote executive education programs, direct engagement with the HR or training departments of large employers (with sizeable internal training budgets). 

This position is based in a Tier 1 city in China, and directly reports to Shorelight’s Vice President – International Development, based in Boston, USA.

Essential Functions

Lead Conversion  

  • Work closely with local marketing teams to convert leads generated by various online marketing campaigns, as well as leads resulting from in-person activities at expos or events
  • Work with prospective students from early stage (‘leads’) to successful enrollment in their desired executive program
  • Grow revenue through the development of profitable channels such as agent and institutional relationships in line with the agreed sales and marketing strategy
  • Utilizing Salesforce CRM system, establish, monitor, and report on goals, milestones, and KPIs that enable Shorelight to track toward its program bookings goals
  • Work closely with other Shorelight functions to ensure a smooth student transition to enrollment, including various handoff points to Admissions, Enrollment Services, Account Managers of channel partners and local universities, Boston HQ, and other Shorelight University partners

B2B Relationships 

  • Leverage existing networks of contacts relevant to identifying and enrolling executives into high-end professional programs
  • Use online, telephone and face-to-face communications, to identify and sell into prospective executive associations and networks, and to nurture good relationships with potential students
  • Promote single and multi-participant training packages for executives employed by leading technology employers (as well as other firms with an internal focus on AI training for executives)

Business Development 

  • Engage with the most senior executive levels (Director, General Manager, Vice-President, C-suite) of prospective clients
  • Working closely with the Marketing team, plan and implement relevant sales and marketing campaigns throughout the market via on-line and off-line events, including agent engagement events, corporate events, training, organization-partnership events, and social and digital media campaigns

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, HR or similar
  • 8+ years of sales and marketing experience with HR Learning and Development divisions or within the education industry

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree a plus in marketing, communications, business, international relations, adult education, journalism or related area
  • Experience and interest in training, online learning, curriculum design and development or teaching strongly preferred.
  • Strong writing skills required – may be demonstrated with a background in journalism, creative writing, written translation, technical writing or content marketing
  • Strong public speaking skills required – candidate must feel comfortable on camera, in front of large audiences, in a public forum or leading a large group meeting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and general familiarity with international admissions processes and standards (both undergraduate and graduate level) a plus
  • Marketing background or experience a plus
  • Experience with content development and administration of an online Learning Management System is a plus
  • Experience recruiting overseas in higher education is a plus – having a fundamental understanding/basic knowledge of recruiting activities such as agent visits, education fairs, school visits is beneficial to understanding the needs of the audience

Job Overview

The National Manager, Business Development, leads regional Business Development team for the growth of Shorelight’s channel network, with a focus on inactive channel cultivation and sub-agent network expansion in China. Thea role is accountable for the overall growth and productivity of the targeted network, working together with regional sales and marketing staff to execute the strategy to drive the focused growth of relevant channels in key cities and territories.

 

This position is based in China, and directly reports to the Director of Business development, Asia.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Support and co-develop the regional business development plan to achieve the region’s channel expansion and net-booking goals each cycle
  • Manage the regional Business Development staff, monitor and report on goals, milestones, and KPI’s that enable team members to track towards its channel expansion and net-booking goals
  • Regularly collaborate with regional sales team members to engage business development strategy and execution
  • Cooperate with global and China marketing team members for localized business development materials/collaterals building and production
  • Support to establish processes, procedures and best practices for channel acquisition and productivity management at scale
  • Perform as national business development leader role, identifying and engaging with channel partner leaders and teams on partnership opportunities with Shorelight.
  • Support national business development training team for channel training facilitation and delivery
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrollment trends and using technology systems
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Travel within China as needed to develop and maintain relationships with targeted channel partners
  • Execute on efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process (inquiry, application, assessment, offer, acceptance, visa applications, orientation, etc.), with a strong focus agency acquisition and productivity metrics

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • 5-7 years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, with strong drive for results
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while remaining pressure-resilient
  • Proficient with technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a customer service ethic within the work team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing network and relationships within the education industry in China a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of key international markets, programs, and products are pluses
  • Language requirements: Chinese and English (fluent) are a must, and other languages are a plus
  • Ability to work in the hiring location without sponsorship
