Job Overview

The Associate Director, Demand Generation will lead the innovation of the Shorelight direct-to-student customer journey. This is an exciting opportunity to redefine the strategies that will deliver an optimized student experience and directly increase revenue.  This role will guide the development and execution of an omni-channel, segmented approach to direct student customer engagement with a critical focus on measuring and optimizing against performance. This role will report to the VP of Marketing.
This role will work closely with colleagues in Customer Experience, Marketing Automation, Creative Services, and Inside Sales to develop an executable vision for the Shorelight direct-student customer journey — which will include leads from diverse sources, such as Affiliates, Organic, and List Purchases. This role will place primary focus on the performance and optimization of key moments of direct digital engagement, including email and webinars, forms and visits, and flow across touchpoints. This role will also lead initiatives for the expansion of engagement to potentially include SMS, chat, and automated response systems. 
This individual will also collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, Recruitment, and Regional teams to align customer engagement initiatives that grow, and drive pipeline, revenue, and channel performance. This individual will also be responsible for providing summaries and recommendations to departmental leadership. 

Essential Functions

Analytics
  • Partner with Analytics to define and maintain KPI’s by stage
  • Partner with Analytics to track and manage reporting of campaign performance against key engagement KPIs, including regular performance reviews with Acquisition leadership
  • Use analytics to regularly identify issues and opportunities for future improvements
  • Partner with Analytics to standardize and simplify reporting in order to create a centralized reporting index that makes it easy for everyone to rapidly access key information on performance
Engagement Strategy
  • Partner with Marketing Automation, Customer Experience, and Inside Sales teams to develop a strategy and roadmap for continuous improvement of the D2C student journey from lead capture through engagement strategies to Inside Sales
  • Meet regularly with business and technology stakeholders to understand goals and gaps, and develop new engagement strategies that advance their goals
  • Develop Business Cases for new campaigns and strategies and lead development of new campaigns and strategies
  • Expand campaign automation and reduced manual effort through process across key stages of journey
  • Work closely with Inside Sales and Recruitment teams to build marketing plans aligned with customer journey and sales team activities

Engagement Tactics and Delivery

  • Oversee development and execution of omnichannel marketing programs through scalable and standardized processes. 
  • Manage campaign calendar in coordination with content and production teams. 
  • Work across team to constantly improve campaign creatives and tactics towards driving customer interest and meet revenue goals, esp. A/B testing. 
  • Lead the process for gathering info and packaging as a Campaign Brief all upcoming campaigns
  • Champion team documentation of all existing campaign information.
  • Lead the training of appropriate Marketing team members on marketing automation tools to expand ability to deliver campaigns. 
  • Manage Sr. Coordinator, Demand Generation direct report as well as across the Marketing team and with 3rd party agencies when appropriate. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of direct channel education space, with particular emphasis on performance marketing and optimization

Job Overview

The Associate Marketing Manager role reports to Marketing Director, Greater China and supports a team of China Marketing team responsible for executing local marketing strategies in the region targeted at national channels. The Associate Marketing Manager is, highly motivated, and independent candidate with strong marketing capabilities and communications skills to communicate different stakeholders across functional teams internally and externally. This new, evolving role will also work on the development and implementation of key marketing digital campaigns that will support company growth and brand awareness in China, as well as develop and implement digital content to be used across a range of digital marketing channels.

 

This position will work closely with the in-country recruitment team and external vendor team to manage all digital platforms and campaign, to drive the new launch of different local sites as priorities to assist the healthy online growth to C and to B ends. Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • To support Channel Marketing Manager to conduct China marketing annual strategy plan
  • Work closely with local marketing team and recruitment to initiate and execute various of creative marketing campaigns in different time slots through the whole recruitment cycle
  • Support and cooperate with Recruitment team and Event Planning team to planning, designing, preparing online/ offline activities, seminars, agent re-treats, annual meeting, etc., and to leverage digital tools to track and analyze events’ ROIs
  • Maintain a strong data-driven approach to daily marketing performance, including monitoring market trends and competitor performances
  • To manage and operate multiple schools’ social media platforms, initiate 2B/2C facing contents to develop comprehensive understanding of target consumers and ideal channels for lead generation and conversion – continually deepen understanding of nuances of student personas

Qualifications

We are seeking a Director of UX who will lead the innovation of the Shorelight customer experience. This individual will guide the development of a unified and seamless multi-service approach across multiple channels, with an initial primary focus on digital excellence. This role will report to the VP of Marketing.

This role will develop an executable vision for the Shorelight customer experience. This individual will lead a team of UX designers and product managers, and work closely with departmental leadership, to transform customer experience problems into solutions that grow revenue, increase customer satisfaction, improve partner productivity, or reduce expenses. 

Essential Functions

Customer Experience
  • Raise company awareness of the role of customer experience in business performance. 
  • Leverage existing touchpoints and channels to improve the digital experience for customers and partners — and create a competitive market advantage, increase student engagement and conversion, and improve partner productivity. 
  • Partner with departmental leadership to build an inclusive vision of the end-to-end customer journey that highlights each department’s contribution to customer experience excellence.
  • Use best practices like service blueprinting and journey mapping to update and maintain existing customer experience architectures and create broad alignment across current state process and detail a vision for future state processes.  
Product Management
  • Build and constantly refine a product backlog of strategic improvements across digital touchpoints, and oversee and guide the work of product managers. Use clear and transparent methodologies to manage prioritization and performance measurement across a broad range of opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing and Technology leadership to create, communicate, and deliver a long-range customer experience strategy across multiple touchpoints and platforms.
  • Provide structure and rigor around the research, analysis, prioritization, design, development, documentation, and maintenance of experience architectures. 
User-Centered Design 
  • Follow user-centered design best practices, and champion user research and usability standards, in order to create designs that engage and inspire our audiences, while driving successful business outcomes. 
  • Manage a team of UX designers to develop a set of customer experience artifacts and design patterns that allow Shorelight to create a consistent and predictable global experience across the student and agent journey. 
  • Provide experience design leadership to rapidly ideate and iterate a range of proposed designs for a given opportunity, leveraging methods such as a/b testing, rapid prototyping, and user testing to develop and test concepts quickly and at low cost, to validate effectiveness and ensure positive outcomes. 
Analytics
  • Work closely with Analytics and Insights to develop shared vision of a VOC program, including data collection and actionable user research; and to align around existing performance measures for each stage of the customer journey, and introduce additional experience metrics that correlate the impacts of customer satisfaction on revenue and company performance.
  • Synthesize and present qualitative and quantitative data into compelling stories or business cases that effectively demonstrate the importance of an experience strategy.
People Management
  • Recruit, develop, and retain team members to ensure productivity and engagement
  • Engage in talent management activities such as goal setting, performance evaluations, stay interviews, development planning, and ongoing feedback to develop team members and achieve organization goals

Job Overview

The Senior Campus Marketing Coordinator (SCMC) is responsible for creating engaging and high-quality student-facing content and supporting the execution of marketing strategies to increase student enrollment and drive conversion across a portfolio of university partnerships. This includes marketing and promoting the full suite of program offerings, both graduate and undergraduate, and increasing brand awareness across the portfolio campuses and global community. The SCMC reports to the Associate Director, Program Marketing, with a dotted line to the Associate Director, Campus Operations, and works closely with global recruitment, Campus Partnership leadership, and University marketing.

Working under the direction of the enrollment management team, the SCMC plays a central role in developing and executing the marketing strategy for the programs on campus and around the world, including content development, virtual and in-person presentations and events, video creation, email and social media content, and student testimonials. With a strong focus on the student, the SCMC works with partnership staff to drive new student enrollment through strategic marketing and conversion campaigns and activities that highlight the student experience and service differentiators of the program.

The SCMC possesses strong content creation and project management skills and the ability to work independently. The SCMC possesses a strong understanding of the brand and value propositions across their portfolio universities, as well as the brand of Shorelight. He or she maintains expertise in the products at the partnerships and insight into markets where the international students are originating , and is able to prioritize and initiate campaigns and projects to increase on enrollment and prospective student engagement. This individual is an integral part of the Shorelight team and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, exceptional communication and project management skills, and a love of storytelling across media platforms.

Essential Functions

Enrollment Growth

  • Partner with the centralized marketing communications team to create and update compelling content and marketing across a portfolio of six campus partnerships
  • Work with stakeholders to convert qualified leads into applicants and enrolled students, through emails, webinars, and other proactive outreach and communications
  • Work with global recruitment teams to create marketing collateral, emails, webinars and more tailored to their region and prospective students
  • Arrange and manage virtual events such as webinars and campus connect calls and supports presentations and content creation as needed
  • Work with Shorelight’s central operations team to support and operationalize campus visits, including prospective student visits, parent visits, campus open days, Shorelight staff visits, education counsellor familiarization trips and more; while highlighting each university’s unique selling points
  • Deep knowledge of conversion points during student journey and best practices on continued optimization within their portfolio universities

Program Promotion

  • Support the HQ marketing team and campus leadership to execute the annual marketing strategy for universities and programs in the portfolio
  • Develop content that highlights international students’ experiences and stories to create authentic connections with prospective students through photos, videos, blogs, testimonials (video and print) and social media
  • Act as the primary point of contact and work directly with university marketing and other departments to access existing high-quality content
  • Manage strategy and content creation for the program’s social media presence, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the program blog
  • Manage student ambassador program and student-generated content to further promote portfolio universities across all channels and marketing platforms

Collateral Creation and Management

  • Ensure that existing material, forms, etc. are accurate and updated across all platforms, including company intranet, company Digital Asset Management tool, digital/web and print
  • Ensure all marketing collateral adheres to brand guidelines and proper approvals are received
  • Work with the product, training, and recruitment enablement teams to develop and publish marketing collateral for the portfolio universities best suited to the global team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media, journalism, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing
  • Fluency in social media marketing and email marketing
  • Demonstrated self-starter who can think creatively and independently  
  • Strong team player with outstanding interpersonal skills

We are seeking a Director of Performance Marketing who will lead the development and execution of a portfolio of marketing strategies that drive growth and continuous improvement within the Direct-to-Consumer Channel. This role will report to the VP of Marketing.

Affiliate and Paid Marketing 
  • Responsible for scaling Shorelight’s Affiliate and Paid Marketing channels across key regions to drive profitable growth and acquire new customers. This involves identifying and engaging with new agencies and partners, negotiation of contract and business terms, and the optimization of business performance. 
  • Be passionate about building positive and productive relationships with affiliate partners and paid marketing agencies with a clear understanding of the dynamics of the affiliate landscape in the education space, as well as paid marketing strategies in the domestic space, and demonstrate the vision and organization leadership to expand the role of this strategy across the company. 
Additional Critical Functions
  • Work with the Analytics and Insights team to establish clear and comprehensive measurement processes and reporting practices that ensure efficient management of performance across all aspects of partnerships and campaigns.

 Essential Functions 
  • Assist the Program Marketing and Creative and Content team in developing relevant stories for film, online streaming and other platforms.
  • Help research creative approaches, provide copywriting support, and be an active part of the art direction and video production assignments.
  • Participate in developing creative briefs, articulating key insights and a clear point of view.
  • Collaborate actively on a wide range of creative platforms – with understanding of graphic design, video, web, and mobile apps.
  • Be an “audience advocate” by understanding our partnerships and keeping it relevant to cultural events and trends that affect the audience.
  • Communicate with writers, directors, managers and other members of staff to ensure a smooth running of the project.
  • Partner with Campus Marketing team members to support the production and editing of school-specific videos.
  • Produce and edit video content that adhere to partnership guidelines and standards to share on online channels, including social media and YouTube.
  • Provide assistance as needed in all components of the production, including sound, lighting, camera, editing and postproduction.
  • Familiar with keywords analysis and how to research valuable keywords in relation to partnership.
  • Manage video software, including tagging, publishing, and optimizations.
 
Minimum Qualifications 
  • Be a current college student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Video Production
  • Effective written and oral communication skills 
  • Experience in copywriting
  • Proficiency in Adobe platforms consisting of Spark, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently and collaboratively.
  • A truly international outlook, ability to work in a diverse environment, and exhibit cross-cultural awareness and understanding

Job Overview

The Marketing and Operations Coordinator grows the brand of the partnership and provides overall administrative and operational support. The Marketing and Operations Coordinator reports to the Managing Director with a dotted line to Shorelight’s marketing team. He or she also works closely with a variety of internal teams as well as external vendors to align brand, strategy, and campaigns.

The Marketing and Operations Coordinator possesses strong marketing and project management skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed environment. Essential Functions

Program Promotion

  • Work with the global Shorelight marketing team and campus leadership to plan and execute the annual marketing strategy for Utah Global
  • Document students’ experiences and capture authentic student stories through photos, videos, blogs, testimonials (video and print), and social media
  • Partner with the centralized marketing communications team to create compelling content and marketing collateral to deliver global marketing campaigns and support multiple recruitment channels, including Global Channel Recruitment, Direct to Consumer, and Partnerships
  • Act as the primary point of contact and as a liaison to internal university departments, as required
  • Manage and create content for social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the program blog
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinator for campus visits, including prospective student visits, parent visits, campus open days, Shorelight staff visits, and Agent FAM trips; plan and execute visits, highlighting the university’s unique selling points
  • Partner with global recruitment to ensure all training materials are updated and accurate as well as communicate updates through recruitment weekly newsletters
  • Work with admissions and recruitment teams to develop strategies to convert qualified leads into applicants and enrolled students
  • Manage relationship with student ambassadors to further promote Utah Global across all channels and marketing platforms

Technology

  • Work with the global marketing team to develop email content and landing pages for nurturing prospective students, student recruitment, and other targeted campaigns in the Marketo marketing automation tool and WordPress CMS

Collateral Creation and Management

  • Support on-campus marketing needs, including orientation collateral, event promotion, and student newsletters
  • Ensure that existing material, forms, websites, etc. are accurate and updated regularly
  • Ensure that all marketing collateral adheres to brand guidelines and proper approvals are received
  • Assist the student services teams in the design and implementation of incoming and ongoing orientation programs

 Office Management

  • Maintain all public spaces, office equipment, and overall efficiency and order within the office space
  • Serve as the primary contact to staff and building management for facilities-related requests
  • Purchase office supplies and maintain supply area
  • Contribute to ongoing group activities, processes, and special projects, as needed
  • Support student collections and follow-up

HR Administrative Support

  • Partner with Shorelight Human Resources department to set up and prepare for new team members and help provide initial onboarding training, including obtaining a computer, providing a tour of the office, and arranging for building access
  • Ensure that each new team member completes an I-9 Form and profile within HRIS system
  • Assist Shorelight headquarters in managing onboarding checklists and gathering new-hire documentation
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding for temporary positions, including new hire paperwork and background checks

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media, journalism, or related field
  • Fluency in social media and knowledge of the digital landscape
  • Demonstrated leadership, customer service, presentation, and public speaking skills
  • Demonstrated photography and/or videography skills

Marketing provides the strategic ownership of all marketing activities to drive demand and conversion. Driven by a deep understanding of markets and customer’s needs, the B2B marketing team drives product demand by developing and executing the marketing plan, bringing new products to market (launch), developing brand positioning and messaging, ensuring competitive differentiation, allowing both recruitment and marketing teams to align and work efficiently to generate and close opportunities.

The Marketing Coordinator (B2B Marketing) supports the execution of regional marketing strategies and plans for new and existing Shorelight products. He or she plays a key role in managing reporting and success metrics against the plans. 

The Marketing Coordinator project-manages critical functions and strategic initiatives within the student acquisition team, including channel expansion activities, digital campaigns, and loyalty programs. He or she acts as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders from project inception to delivery.  

The Marketing Coordinator develops a deep working knowledge of our products and our consumers to help inform marketing, product development and positioning. This person works cross-departmentally and with external vendors to ensure timely execution of objectives and establish a robust system for reporting against B2B marketing plans.  The position reports to the Executive Director, Marketing. 

Essential Functions

 Project Management of Channel Expansion Initiatives 

  • Collaborate with Shorelight’s marketing and global student recruitment teams in the development and management of project plans aligned to channel expansion initiatives, primarily divided into acquisition of new channel partners and increased productivity of existing channel partners 
  • Manage a network of vendors, including digital and creative agencies, to deliver and execute against key student acquisition initiatives
  • Communicate key deliverables, milestones, and progress to project stakeholders

Communications

  • Work with stakeholders to develop a best-in-class B2B communications plan, ensuring that Shorelight and partner universities are engaging and informing our channel partners regularly and effectively  
  • Develop streamlined and on-brand communication templates for regional marketing team members to use for B2B communications
  • Assist the team in using appropriate messaging platforms/lead nurture across our brands and audiences, as required

Global Team Support 

  • Act as the coordination point for the global marketing team, assisting the Executive Director, Marketing, in implementing strategic marketing plans and alignment with key marketing strategic pillars
  • Serve as an operational point of contact for regional marketing, digital marketing, and creative teams to ensure that planned B2B marketing activities and campaigns are delivered on time and as specified
  • Provide overall administrative and communications support for the B2B marketing team, as needed

Measure, Monitor, and Report on Efficiency of Marketing Strategy

  • Track the efficiency of all B2B marketing projects and align results with marketers and sales managers across the company; this includes working closely with internal account managers to ensure and manage B2B lead, contact, and account consistency or accuracy within our CRM (Salesforce)   
  • Lead and manage channel partner collateral planning, budgeting, quality control, and production

Brand Ownership and Accountability In-Market

  • Ensure all brands within the Shorelight brand architecture are treated according to brand guidelines; monitor usage, identify misuse, and rectify in-market 
  • Act as the B2B brand and tone-of-voice guardian within Shorelight, ensuring that we are communicating with channel partners in a consistent voice, look, and feel 
  • Drive student enrollment by working with the wider marketing team to initiate and localize agent marketing and conversion campaigns via automation platforms (Marketo), CRM (Salesforce), and social media

Cross-Functional Operations

  • Utilize third-party vendors for technical expertise and manage these relationships where necessary
  • Clearly identify and define absent content that requires sourcing from campus teams
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the global marketing team’s needs, working with the wider central marketing team to address these requests

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area 
  • 3+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry or a similarly structured industry
  • Excellent project management skills, including setting priorities and anticipating needs
  • Ability to work with CRM systems to monitor progress, report on key metrics, and communicate across the channel
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat)
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and North Asia localized media platforms
