Job Overview

The Project Manager leads projects and teams, ranging in size and complexity, defines appropriate project methodology, and executes cross-functional projects from initiation to closure. The role will lead scope definition, risk identification, and quality control. This position reports on project status; determines time frames, staffing, and resource requirements; and leads others to make meaningful process improvements. The Project Manager manages projects to delivery within scope, on time, and on budget.

Essential Functions

Project Management

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, including planning, assessment, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of solutions
  • Lead or contribute to the development of project definition and scope with applicable stakeholders 
  • Work closely and collaboratively with project leadership to anticipate and surface areas of risk, and proposed solutions.Gather project requirements and document technical and operational specifications
  • Create project plans with detailed task distribution and execute projects to ensure the project is delivered on time and aligned with customer expectations
  • Monitor and document project milestones, outcomes, and responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct project team meetings and situational analysis regularly to ensure appropriate communication to all stakeholders 

Reporting and Documentation

  • Develop presentations, dashboards, reports, and other team- and executive-level project communications and documentation
  • Develop, communicate, and implement project risk mitigation plans, complete documentation to effectively monitor risk, and ensure accountability and responsibility of key business leaders
  • Develop and implement contingency and recovery plans when deliverables are missed
  • Document and communicate project changes, project health, and project status to project team, business owners, and executive sponsors

Project Work

  • Contribute to configuration, troubleshooting, and design work for assigned projects, as needed
  • Provide support, training, and augmentations for live projects, if necessary

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience in analyzing systems and gathering requirements from stakeholders and documenting requirement specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to make executive-level presentations to stakeholders and organizational leadership
  • Eligibility to work in, and travel freely to and from, the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience implementing complex solutions in rapidly evolving business environment
  • Experience working with remote third-party development teams
  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies as well as stay current on existing ones, pursuing experience and certifications in leading-edge or primary technology areas

Job Overview

The Studio Operator & Teaching Facilitator is responsible for the day-to-day delivery & teacher-focused support for on-campus Studio Operations and for supporting Live to Device lectures. This part-time role (approximately 15-20 hours/week) will actively monitor lectures to which they are assigned in order to provide Live Lecture technical (hardware and software) support. Duties include updating academic information and materials to ensure they are accurate at the time of broadcast. Additionally, this role may be asked to respond to faculty help requests during or after class sessions. This position is a faculty support role, and the successful candidate will be an important member of the Shorelight Live team. Performance of these duties and fulfillment of these responsibilities positively affects the teaching & learning experience of students and faculty, upholds the integrity of our organization, and furthers our mission.

Essential Functions

Studio Duties

  • Operate specialized Live broadcast studio for selected academic courses and demos
  • Ensure proper configuration of equipment and software in advance of events
  • Troubleshoot audio/visual technical issues
  • Manage the timing and loading of curricula, and the updating of lesson plans in coordination with instructional design team and faculty
  • Manage the broadcast platform and perform administrative tasks for production readiness
  • Support live productions, including various production roles as needed

Operational Duties

  • Log-in and launch, or assist in launching, classroom sessions

Job Overview:

The Operations Manager (Live) is responsible for the day-to-day operations for the support of Shorelight Live students and staff. She or he will be responsible for developing a deep knowledge base of our Shorelight Live product and offerings and how our students can best utilize the platform as well as developing processes and communications for issuing student schedules and working cross functionally to report out within organization and university. This position reports to the Senior Director, Global Sales and Operations and works closely with other key stakeholders including Shorelight LIVE management and technical teams. Essential Functions

Operations Management

  • Work with Live staff and vendors to set milestones, assign deliverables, define and track KPIs
  • Monitor ongoing operations and escalation paths for tickets and problems
  • Build tracking framework and work with stakeholders to define SLAs
  • Supports development teams needs by acquiring new software for Live
  • Driving cost efficiency through utilization modeling and resource planning

Course and Training Management

  • Manage all Shorelight Live course schedules across multiple partners and time zones
  • Schedule teaching studios and Global Study Center locations according to availability and demand
  • Create training guides, manuals and resources to help support staff help students
  • Create eBook quick start guides for each class as needed
  • Continue to help trouble shoot issues post-training
  • Develop processes and communications for issuing student schedules and working cross functionally to report out within organization and universities
  • Communicate regularly with university partnership staff to document changes and updates to schedules

Vendor and Contract Management

  • Support and coordinate the onboarding of offshore support vendors
  • Manage all contracts related to Live platform and be resource for development team to
  • Assist with product growth by ensuring all contracts are updated as needed and proactively troubleshoot problems with vendors

Student Registration

  • Manage student and course level information across multiple partners including registration, data entry/integrity, transcript management, and billing
  • Troubleshooting student registration issues post-program launch
  • Ensure FERPA compliance of student data
  • Issue completion documentation for Shorelight-run programs
  • Point of contact for consolidation of program and partnership course offerings
  • Data tracking in connection with university partners for transfer credit

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS from accredited university

Job Overview

The Vice President of Live Instructional Architecture will support Shorelight Live which offers immersive distance learning programs through technology-enabled, in-country, live-lecture learning overseas. This role will oversee the development of distance-learning technology, new academic programs, and the roll-out of Shorelight Live studios and classrooms. Passion for building innovative products to meet the U.S. higher education aspirations of international students is a key for success in this position. The ideal candidate combines strategic insight with tactical discipline to design, build, and deliver outstanding distance-learning programs and technology. Reporting into the General Manager, Shorelight Live, this position sits at the center of all organizational disciplines and requires the ability to work well cross-functionally, as well as with external parties.

Key Responsibilities

Studio platform development

  • College studio, classroom and home studio modifications and models for reliability, ease of installation, cost, and optimal user experience
  • Build and implement requirements and enhancements of multi-classroom and Live to Device experiences
  • Other features and capabilities as required

Instructional design and vendor management

  • Development and improvement of processes, procedures, and costs for the maintenance and delivery of courses, including project management
  • Responsible for hiring and training studio staff as well as provide career and internal development
  • Acquire and manage multiple external vendors
  • Live broadcast and asynchronous recording processes, procedures, and support

New program and existing program development

  • Create and implement new Live programs, certificates, and courses as required by Shorelight agreements
  • Recognize and act on new enhancements to existing programs
  • Establish and maintain processes, procedures, and project management for programs and courses

Demonstration and business development

  • Progressive inclusion of available tools as they are developed
  • Support for internal Shorelight personnel who develop and deliver demos
  • Other marketing-related efforts as required and requested

New program operational support, including student support projects

  • New studio and classroom roll-out and project management, including management of Studio development team
  • Provide new program launches period support as needed
  • Continuously provide faculty training and orientation development

Other responsibilities

  • Responsible for budgeting, expense management and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, masters degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry
